The latest PlayStation Now update features dozens of games from publisher Capcom, including multiple entries in its Resident Evil and Street Fighter franchises.

PlayStation Now is a subscription-based streaming service that allows members to experience featured PlayStation 3 games on-demand and with no purchase or download required. Gameplay is delivered via streamed video, eliminating the need to load and process game data on the user’s end. Service subscribers can play hundreds of compatible games with linked PlayStation 4, PS3, PS Vita, and PlayStation TV devices.

Capcom’s current PlayStation Now lineup includes retail-released standouts like Dead Rising 2, Asura’s Wrath and Ultra Street Fighter 4, along with retro-inspired titles like Mega Man 9, Strider, Bionic Commando Rearmed, and Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix.

A significant quantity of Resident Evil games are also available for PlayStation Now streaming, including recent series entries Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6. Subscribers can additionally stream a remake of the Dreamcast-era sequel Resident Evil: Code Veronica X, an upgraded version of Resident Evil 4, and the rail shooter spinoffs Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles and Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles.

Other major titles premiering for PlayStation Now this week include Arc System Works’ one-on-one fighter Guilty Gear Xrd: SIGN, Koei Tecmo’s gory action game Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge, acclaimed third-person shooter Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath HD, and several PS Vita RPGs, including Ragnarok Odyssey Ace and Atelier Rorona Plus.

Retrogaming is another major focus for PlayStation Now, with this week’s update introducing classics like Fatal Fury, The King of Fighters ’95, Dragon’s Lair, Frogger Returns, Spelunker HD, and Double Dragon Neon.

PlayStation Now subscriptions are priced at $20 per month, which grants members unlimited play of as many featured games as they wish.

PlayStation VR2 adds even more games to its launch lineup
Gameplay from Sushi Ben, an upcoming PlayStation VR2 game.

Sony has finalized the launch lineup of the PlayStation VR2 headset just before its February 22 release. With that comes the confirmation of the new games coming to the PSVR2 platform throughout the rest of 2023, including a sequel to a critically acclaimed PlayStation VR title, as well as many exciting ports.

Starting with the newly confirmed launch titles, ports of the Viking rhythm game Ragnarock, 1980s anime-themed motorcycle combat game Runner, sci-fi simulator Startenders: Intergalactic Bartending, medieval sword-fighting game Swordsman VR, and VR Guitar Hero-like Unplugged: Air Guitar will all be available on February 22. This cements the following list as PlayStation VR2's 43-game launch game lineup.

PlayStation Plus just set a new first-party precedent with Horizon Forbidden West
Horizon: Forbidden West

Sony revealed the games coming to PlayStation Plus Premium and PlayStation Plus Extra this month on February 21, and it's the best month that the service has had since it launched in the summer of 2022. Not only are some great PS1 classics like The Legend of Dragoon and Wild Arms 2 coming to the service, but Horizon Forbbiden West is getting added as well.
Horizon Forbidden West coming to the service one year after launch is a big deal because Sony has been resistant to putting recent first-party PS5 games on its subscription service. While it's still not adding first-party titles on day one like Xbox Game Pass does, this is possibly our first indication of how Sony will handle adding its own games to the subscription. It's not the only PS4 and PS5 title coming to the service this month either, as the following strong lineup of games was also confirmed to be coming on February 21.

The Quarry (PS4, PS5)
Resident Evil VII Biohazard (PS4)
Outriders (PS4, PS5)
Scarlet Nexus (PS4, PS5)
Borderlands 3 (PS4, PS5)
Tekken 7 (PS4, PS5)
Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown (PS4)
Earth Defense Force 5 (PS4)
Oninaki (PS4)
Lost Sphear (PS4)
I Am Setsuna (PS4)
The Forgotten City (PS4, PS5)
Destroy All Humans! (PS4)

Over 100 PlayStation VR2 games are in development, Sony says
Playstation VR2 headset on a PlayStation-themed wallpaper.

Sony has released a massive FAQ about the PlayStation VR2 on the PlayStation Blog ahead of the headset's February 22 launch. It reveals some key new details about games for the platform, namely that over 100 PS VR2 titles are in development, and that Sony doesn't plan on giving its games physical releases for now.
For the most part, the FAQ is full of basic information about the PlayStation VR2's specs, how to set it up, and what's required to use it. But the Games section of this FAQ reveals quite a few illuminating details about the future of the system. It reiterates that there will be around 30 launch titles for the system, but also reveals just how much is in the works for the headset. In response to the question, "How many games are in development for PS VR 2?" Sony writes, "There are currently more than 100 titles in development for PS VR2."

That's a good sign, as a new, expensive VR headset like this lives or dies on its game lineup. PSVR2's early days might be a bit odd as Horizon Call of the Mountain is one of its only true exclusives -- and it's not backward compatible with PlayStation VR titles (something this FAQ reiterates. However, those picking one up can still know that lots of games are in the works for it.
Another FAQ question asks, "Will PS VR2 games be digital only or will there be physical disc releases?" -- which is sensible to clarify as this headset's predecessor had physical games. "Initially at launch, PS VR2 games will be digital," Sony says. "Physical disc releases for select titles may be available at a future date." So don't hold on to the idea of picking up a physical copy of Horizon Call of the Mountain; you'll be getting PS VR2 games through the PlayStation Store for the time being.
Check out the full FAQ if you have any technical questions about PS VR2's setup and which games it supports. PlayStation VR will be released on February 22.
