Rage Set to Release in September of 2011

After debuting gameplay footage at E3, id’s Rage quickly jumped to the top of the list of “most-anticipated” titles. Besides just looking fairly incredible, and besides the impressive pedigree of id Software and publisher Bethesda, Rage also will debut the brand new id Tech 5 engine.

Originally debuted at Quakecon 2007, Rage has had the industry’s attention for quite awhile. Besides the fact that the company that created the first-person shooter genre is releasing a new game, the proprietary engine that they created for this game is also attracting developers who have been using id’s software engines for years.

As more footage of Rage is released, it will soon have the attention of gamers everywhere as well, but we will have to wait until September 13 of next year to experience the results of id’s newest creation.

Set in a post-apocalyptic wasteland, the first-person shooter takes place on an Earth devastated by an asteroid. Beyond that, not much is known, but expect to hear more in the coming months.

Doom Eternal has a lot of collectibles scattered throughout its levels, despite being a fairly linear shooter. Cheat codes are easily the most entertaining of the bunch, though. Doom Eternal cheat codes let you do everything from gain infinite ammo to hear the roar of QuakeCon while you're playing, and in this guide, we're going to show you how to find all of them.

There are 14 cheat codes total, 11 of which are scattered throughout the levels. Another two are located in the Fortress of Doom, and the final cheat code is unlocked by fully upgrading your Praetor suit. If you're going for all the collectibles in Doom Eternal, make sure to go after the cheat codes first. Enabling a select few will make replaying levels infinitely easier.

Hell was razed in New York City as Bethesda and id Software invited members of the press to try their hand at the upcoming sequel, Doom Eternal. I played about three hours of the action-packed romp through hell and made it out with a few new details and a heap of optimism for the upcoming adventure.

The conflict between the Doom Slayer and hordes of demons has only escalated since the last entry to the series. You won’t only be working to dismantle demonic facilities on Mars, but diving into a Doom universe that includes the forces of heaven. You'll learn more about the Slayer’s origins while discovering all-new haunting locales. At moments, I felt like I was playing Diablo, but in first person.
