Is Remnant 2 cross-platform?

Aside from the focus on firearms and integrating some randomly generated environments, the Remnant series sets itself apart from other souls-like games mainly with its focus on co-op. Both titles encourage you to team up with two friends to fight your way through the mutated monsters that await. After so many years of progress in terms of multiplatform games incorporating full cross-platform support, you might assume Remnant 2 will follow suit and let you make a group with anyone regardless of what platform they’re on. However, the truth may be a bit more disappointing. Before you make plans with your squad, here’s what you need to know about Remnant 2′s cross-platform support.

Unfortunately, Remnant 2 does not have cross-platform play between PS5, Xbox Series X or PC — and there’s no word about it being added in the future.

This means you won’t be able to play multiplayer with friends on other platforms. This will surely come as a disappointment for a lot of fans jumping into the live-service co-op game since cross-platform play is becoming more and more common. The game’s predecessor, Remnant: From The Ashes, even featured limited crossplay when it was launched in 2019.

According to IGN, the director of Remnant 2 has stated that the studio is “actively” working on implementing crossplay functionality. While it is reassuring to know it is being worked on already, the lack of any details on when we can expect it is still slightly disappointing. Crossplay can greatly boost the lifespan of a multiplayer-focused game such as this, so the sooner the team can add it, the better.

It's that spooky time of the year, and what better way to celebrate than with some limited-time events in every Guardian's favorite game? As is the tradition at this point, Destiny 2 is embracing the holiday season with a limited-time event with exclusive themed rewards around the Halloween holiday. The entire tower will be getting a spooky makeover, but the really exciting part is, of course, the special event and rewards you can earn.

Called the Festival of the Lost, this event is technically still part of the current Season of Plunder but is available for all players for free, regardless of what expansions they have or have not purchased. While Bungie hasn't fully outlined all the specifics of how Festival of the Lost will work, there have been some details shared, plus a couple of leaks, to sink our teeth into. Is Overwatch 2 cross-platform?

The path Overwatch 2 has taken up to release has been rather confusing. This sequel, which is also replacing the original game, could easily be mistaken for a major update rather than a new game. It's also going down the free-to-play route, meaning that it is looking to capture as large an audience as possible. Naturally, this will be incentive enough for many gamers to at least try out this team-based hero shooter.

Overwatch 2, like the first game, has no modes where you aren't playing as a team. While the team size has been reduced from six to five players per squad, the game is still focused on filling the roles of Tanks, Support, and Damage. Teamwork and coordination are key, so playing with your friends is the best way to pull out a victory. With the game available on so many platforms, though, the question of whether or not it supports cross-platform play must be asked. We have the answer.
