This may well be the greatest thing to ever happen in video games: Snoop Dogg has lent his voice to the Call of Duty: Ghosts multiplayer announcer role in an upcoming DLC pack.
The add-on inserts Snoop’s dulcet tones into every multiplayer match, with the rapper egging you on and letting you know when your ballistic vests — “fine-ass threads,” he quips — are ready. The official Call of Duty community site also notes that another voice pack is coming as well, with Hollywood legend R. Lee Ermey filling the announcer role. For those unfamiliar with Ermey, he was the hard-nosed drill instructor that abused Vincent D’Onofrio’s “Private Pyle” in Full Metal Jacket.
The same COD community page post also runs through an assortment of other upcoming personalization packs that tweak the appearance of your guns and squaddies. The two voice packs will cost $2.99 apiece and all of the other DLC items are $3.99 or less. You can find a full rundown at the source link. All of these items are coming to Xbox 360 and Xbox One on April 22, with additional platforms to be added “at a later time.”
