The best Warzone NZ-41 loadout

The long-range meta has been dominated by a small handful of weapons during Season 4 of Call of Duty: Warzone. Arguably the best assault rifle in the game right now is the NZ-41, a Vanguard weapon that has been around since the December 2021 integration. It’s hard to recommend using anything else aside from the NZ-41, as it’s a deadly accurate rifle that works best during long-range engagements, serving you well across Caldera, Rebirth Island, and the new Fortune’s Keep.

But what specifically makes this weapon so viable, and how should you build it? After all, the game has 10 attachment slots, with a slew of options across each. Here, we’ll show you the best NZ-41 loadout in Call of Duty: Warzone.

NZ-41 overview

As always, let’s first dive into an NZ-41 overview, detailing what makes the weapon so essential during Season 4. It doesn’t have the best time to kill (TTK) in the game, but given its almost non-existent recoil, you’ll be able to secure eliminations more consistently than with other rifles that might hit harder but are more difficult to control. Interestingly, the NZ-41 has been nerfed multiple times since it became a meta weapon, but even still, it remains at the top of the list.

Aside from its ease of use, the NZ-41 is far more practical than many other top-tier assault rifles due to its high damage per mag. When utilizing the 50-round magazine type, the NZ-41 has the potential to deal 2,000 damage per mag, allowing you to secure multiple eliminations before having to take cover to reload. This essentially decreases the likelihood of getting caught with no ammo in the middle of a firefight, and when playing Trios and Quads, this is highly important. This makes the NZ-41 perfect for newcomers especially, but it’s also frequently used among players of all skill levels.

Our recommended NZ-41 build is ideal for long-range situations, allowing you to down and eliminate players from over 100 meters away. Start by applying the MX Silencer Muzzle, giving you sound suppression while also improving your horizontal and vertical recoil control and damage range. Then, we advise using the Orbweaver 360mm BC Barrel, which improves bullet velocity significantly, along with giving you more accuracy.

After that, we suggest adding the SVT-40 PU Scope 3-6X Optic, giving you plenty of magnification for those long-range battles. Follow that up with the Orbweaver E Pack Stock, which boosts your recoil control, recoil recovery, accuracy, and flinch resistance. This will help you stick to your target from afar.

Then, go with the m1930 Strife Angled Underbarrel to improve your horizontal recoil control even further, making the NZ-41 an absolute laser beam. When it comes to the Magazine, we advise using the 6.5mm Sakura 50 Round Mags, giving you plenty of ammo while once again helping the recoil control, with an additional boost to fire rate and movement speed.

As always with long-range builds, it’s best to use the Lengthened Ammunition type, improving your bullet velocity. From there, equip the Polymer Grip Rear Grip for better flinch resistance, improved accuracy, and recoil control during sustained fire.

At this point, you can use a variety of different weapon Perks, but we like to use Pinned, improving the amount of flinch dealt. This is because the NZ-41 is already accurate enough, so you can get away with using a Perk that doesn’t improve its control. Finally, go with On-Hand for Perk 2, boosting your weapon’s aim down sights (ADS) speed.

Thanks to recent updates, the Perk meta has opened up significantly, allowing for more viable options. Despite this, there are a few choices that work best with this build, assuming you’re a semi-aggressive player. Start with Quick Fix for slot 1, immediately starting health regeneration after applying an armor plate or securing an elimination.

Then, we highly suggest using Tempered, allowing you to reach max armor by applying two plates instead of three. When combined with Quick Fix, these two Perks will let you regain HP faster, which can make the difference between winning and losing a gunfight.

Finally, it’s best to use Combat Scout, giving you the ability to live-ping enemies you’ve damaged for yourself and your team, even through walls.

Just like Perks, there are plenty of viable Equipment options. You’ll want to pick your Equipment based on the map and your playstyle. We like using Frag Grenades since they’re powerful and can bounce from walls, giving you the chance to flush out a room before charging in. We also recommend coming equipped with Stims to give you a temporary speed boost while also immediately triggering health regeneration, which can be useful while you’re in the gas.
