Suit up: Titanfall 2 confirmed for Xbox One, PS4, and PC

Titanfall 2 is officially in development for PlayStation 4, Windows, and Xbox One, Respawn Entertainment co-founder and CEO Vince Zampella told IGN, confirming recent suggestions made by Electronic Arts CFO Blake Jorgensen.

“I guess EA announced a sequel, so I could play coy and pretend I don’t know anything about it, or… yeah. So we’re working on a sequel. No official name yet, but we’re working on that. That’s the main focus but we’re starting up a second team and doing some smaller stuff too. Small, exploratory, taking it slow! It’ll be multiplatform.”

Released one year ago, Titanfall was one of the most hotly-anticipated games of 2014. Its fusion of fast-paced running and gunning pilots and slow-but-powerful mech suits shook up first person shooters. The founding of Respawn by Call of Duty veterans Zampella and Jason West also signaled a new era of high-profile indies, which has since led to many more experienced AAA developers striking off on their own for passion projects.

Gotham Knights skipping PS4 and Xbox One

The PlayStation brand of consoles has always had a strong tie to the racing genre. Each console has had a great mix of exclusive and third-party racing titles that looked and played fantastic on the hardware. The PlayStation 4 was the biggest success Sony had since the PS2, but at the same time, seemed to have far fewer pure racing games released on the system. All of Sony's marketing and promotion shifted during this generation to its big first-party exclusives like The Last of Us Part 2, God of War, and Ghost of Tsushima, with little to no love being shown to the racing fans.

Xbox Game Pass adds Madden 22, but loses Titanfall

Microsoft revealed on Xbox Wire the Xbox Game Pass titles we can expect in the back half of February. While Total War: Warhammer 3 and Madden NFL 22 are coming to the service, it's an otherwise quiet lineup preceding the removal of some good indie games and the original Titanfall.
Total War: Warhammer III is the latest game in Sega's real-time strategy game series based on the popular board game. The game sits at a score of 87 on review aggregate site Metacritic and is a day one Game Pass title -- but it's only available on the PC version of the service.

The next most notable title is Madden NFL 22. EA's annual football franchise is one of the most popular series in gaming. It will be available through EA Play (an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate bonus) on console and PC.
Outside of that, Xbox Game Pass subscribers can expect a couple of simulation games on console, as well as Alice: Madness Returns on PC and the Mass Effect Legendary Edition on the cloud. Here's the full list of titles joining Xbox Game Pass during the remainder of February:
