Upcoming Xbox Series X games 2024
The games listed below either have 100% confirmed release dates or solid release windows that we expect them to hit in 2024. Any games with more ambiguous release windows will be listed below the confirmed releases.
The Plucky Squire
Embark on a magical journey with The Plucky Squire, an enchanting Zelda-like adventure that unfolds beyond the confines of a storybook. Join Jot, a brave squire, and his friends as they discover a three-dimensional world outside the pages of their book, only to encounter the sinister Humgrump, who seeks to rewrite their destiny. Jot must overcome unprecedented challenges to rescue his friends from the clutches of Humgrump’s dark forces and restore the book’s once-happy ending. Prepare for an immersive adventure where courage and friendship prevail against all odds.
Frostpunk 2
Frostpunk 2 is the sequel to the highly acclaimed, BAFTA-nominated society survival game that blended city building, strategy, and management gameplay, creating a new genre. Its successor takes place 30 years after the apocalyptic blizzard storm, and Earth is still overwhelmed by the icy climate of neverending frost and harsh weather. This sequel plays out more like a city-building and management game where players must deal with all the political and resource-allocating decisions that come with running a struggling city.

Possible 2024 releases
These games are confirmed to be coming to PS5 at some point soon. We aren’t entirely sure when, or if, they’ll drop in 2024, but we have hope.
Ark II - Q4 2024
Ark II is going to give fans of the survival series exactly what they want — more dinosaurs. First announced in 2020, trailers starring Vin Diesel (yes, you read that correctly) describe a war in the past that led to the state of the world being a mashup of prehistoric animals and futuristic technologies. We think it’s safe to assume that gameplay will be very similar to the first game — you’ll explore with friends, raise dinosaurs, hunt dinosaurs, be hunted by dinosaurs, and try to build a safe settlement in a harsh world. This game has been pushed back to late 2024, but we could see it slipping into 2025.

Solo or in crews of three, they hunt for alien artifacts, loot, and gear.
