Fortnite Guardian Shield: locations and how to use

In January, Epic Games introduced a handful of new changes, including the removal of many Christmas-themed items, and its first new item of 2023: the Guardian Shield, which adds another layer of strategy when used correctly. This new item is tied to a series of in-game challenges, incentivizing players to give it a try. But where can you find the Guardian Shield and how does it work?

Unfortunately, there isn’t a way to guarantee getting a Guardian Shield, as they appear as random drops from chests across the map. With that in mind, we suggest visiting high-traffic areas that contain lots of chests — preferably spots with Oathbound Chests. These are the large white chests that contain rarer loot and can be found in main hubs that aren’t covered in snow, such as The Citadel. Regular chests yield Guardian Shields, too, though. We had luck finding them at Lonely Labs, but other areas contain the Guardian Shield, as well. You can also pick one up from eliminated enemies.

There are a couple of mechanics tied to the Guardian Shield itself. The most straightforward feature allows you to block enemy gunfire, grenades, and rockets, by using the right trigger. Keep in mind, blocking does deplete the shield’s energy, which is denoted by a green bar to the right of the item’s icon in your list of items. It does recharge, so you’ll want to be aware of that as you use it.

You can also throw the item down to create a stationary shield that works much more effectively in terms of blocking enemy fire. Remember to pick it up after you’re finished, as well.

All heart piece locations in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom
Zelda getting a piece of heart.

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom changes a lot about the traditional formula the series is known for. For one, we're playing as Zelda instead of Link, which means using magic over melee most of the time, as well as mixing up delicious smoothies. Of course, one thing that may never change is the hidden pieces of heart. These collectibles are perhaps the most valuable in any Zelda game. Collecting four of these will give you an additional heart container to increase your maximum HP permanently. Since you only start with three hearts and can get seven more by beating the main dungeons, the remaining half of your possible HP is locked behind finding these heart pieces. There are a ton to find, so let's mount up and track them down as fast as possible so you can get back to the adventure.
Every heart piece location in Echoes of Wisdom
Zelda's maximum HP in Echoes of Wisdom is 20 hearts, which means there are a daunting 40 heart pieces to find. They can be rewards for sidequests or solving puzzles, or could just hidden around the world.
Heart Piece 1

The first piece of heart is right at the start of the game in the water of Suthron Beach. Place an object in the water to jump on to reach it.

All outfits in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom and how to unlock them
Zelda wearing the royal travel attire in Echoes of Wisdom.

Somewhat like Peach in Princess Peach: Showtime!, Zelda has access to a ton of different outfits in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom. While they won't drastically change how she plays like her Swordfighter form does, they do give her a fresh new style and occasionally a nice buff of some sort. When you combine these with accessories and smoothies, you can do some fairly deep build crafting in this game. These new outfits can't be picked up off the rack at Hyrule's local market, though. Zelda will need to work for most of them, and there are plenty you can easily miss if you don't go out of your way to find them. Here are all the outfits you can get in Echoes of Wisdom, how to unlock them, and what buffs they grant (if any).
Every outfit in Echoes of Wisdom
There are a total of 11 outfits to find and try on in Echoes of Wisdom. Some are given as part of the main story, but most are optional.

This simple hooded outfit is unlocked automatically during the opening of the game. It has no added benefits to wearing it.

All Nix Treasure locations in Star Wars Outlaws
Kay Vass joined by her small alien companion called Nix in a futuristic city.

The only one Kay can really count on in Star Wars Outlaws is her adorable alien partner, Nix. This little guy can help you solve puzzles, distract enemies, and even fetch loot so you don't have to go over and pick it up yourself. For everything he does for you, the least you could do is reward him with some cool cosmetics. Nix Treasures are among many collectibles found all over the various planets in Star Wars Outlaws, but these little trinkets can be traded to special vendors for new accessories for Nix. Of course, there's also a shiny Trophy in it for you if you find them all. Unlike other Ubisoft games where you can scan the city and ping every map marker at once, you need to do a bit more hunting to find collectibles. Here are all the Nix Treasure locations.
How Nix Treasures work

Nix Treasures are different from other treasures that you can just loot or lockpick. When you get close to one, Nix will scurry off and lead you to where he senses the loot. Being a nimble little alien, he will take a direct route that Kay can't, which will force you to look around for the right path. All are collectible from the start of the game without requiring any later game tools or abilities.
