Wii Users Crazy for Orb MyCasting Service Last week we wrote about Orb Networking launching their MyCasting service for the Sony Playstation 3, today the company announced thatthey have received an overwhelming response of downloads for the Nintendo Wii; more than 50,000 to be exact.
So what exactly does the MyCasting service do? It let’s you stream media from your PC to your game console. The MyCasting software is available for free download. Once installed the user creates"channels" in which they can categorize their music, photos, video, TV, documents and other files to playback through their game console.
The secret to getting the service to work on your game console lies within the internet browser. For Wii users, you will need to download the Opera internet browser on your Nintendo Wii. Install theOrb MyCasting software on your PC next, and then access it using the freshly installed internet browser on your game console.
"Wii users are really getting into using Orb: watching YouTube videos and listening to their music on their TVs. But they want a simple interface to make it easier to navigate with the Wiiremote — so we designed one quickly and launched it today," said Joe Costello, Chairman and CEO of Orb Networks. "The experience continues to be about simplicity and when you have 50,000people starting to use your service over such a short period of time, we want them to know we’re listening and responding." Nintendo is ending Wii U and 3DS eShop service

Nintendo has announced the end of its eShop service for the Wii U console and 3DS handheld. The eShop will stay live on those devices until late March 2023, after which players will no longer be able to purchase games or download eShop apps and services for those devices.

After the closure, players will still be able to redownload games and DLC that they already own, use online play, and download software updates.

Whether or not you fall in love with (and master) a challenging video game is often tied to the amount of free time you have. Some difficult games require you to have pinpoint-accurate hand-eye coordination, while others are so complex that they take careful planning and a deep understanding of their systems to figure out.

I'm no stranger to overcoming challenging games, provided I have the spare time to figure them out. In high school, I not only passed every Guitar Hero III song on expert, but I earned five stars on all of them -- including Through the Fire and Flames. In college, I earned the platinum trophy in every single Souls game on PlayStation, from Demon's Souls all the way to Dark Souls 3. This was a period when free time was abundant.

The main feature of Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart are the titular rifts. The ability to seamlessly jump between dimensions without so much as a loading screen is what makes this game only possible on the PlayStation 5. While this mechanic is tied into the plot and used to fun effect, Insomniac didn't just limit showing the idea of jumping into new dimensions to story moments but also applied them to pocket dimensions.

Pocket dimensions are essentially challenge areas hidden around each of the game's planets. By finding and interacting with them, you will be transported into a new area where you must complete a unique platforming challenge for a special armor piece as a reward. There are 12 total pocket dimensions in the game, which you can spot as big purple crystals floating in the air, and while you only need to find one to earn the More Than Lint trophy, you will want to still want to do them all for the armor pieces you'll get.
