Xbox 60GB Hard Drive Coming?

Xbox 60GB Hard Drive Coming?

It looks very much as if a 60GB Xbox hard drive will be coming later this year, to stand alongside the 60BG Pro Console due later this month. The site Xbox family has obtained an internal memo sent to both Gamestop and Blockbuster that seems to indicate the Xbox plans for the rest of 2008.

According to the memo, “in late October/early November (exact date TBD but mostly likely last week in October/1st week in November) we will ship the Xbox 360 60GB hard drive, tentatively called the Xbox 360 60GB LIVE Starter Pack.”
With a 60BG hard drive, three months of Xbox Live, a wired headset and Ethernet cable, it will retail for $99.99.

The memo states that the 20GB hard drive will be discontinued, and the 120GB hard drive will drop in price to $149.99.
