Xbox Partner Preview March 2024: How to watch and what to expect

Microsoft will air its second-ever Xbox Partner Preview showcase later this week. It established the format in 2023 as a Nintendo Direct-style presentation where Microsoft can highlight third-party titles coming soon to Xbox platforms. Last year’s show included titles like Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater and The Finals, while this March’s show will feature games like Tales of Kenzera: Zau and Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess.

For those subscribed to Xbox Game Pass or those just generally interested in what games are on the way for Xbox following Microsoft’s multiplatform hubbub in February, this is a livestream you’ll want to tune into. If you’re planning to do so, we’ve rounded up all the information you need to know about when and where you can watch this Xbox Partner Preview, as well as what you should expect from it.

As is typically the case with Microsoft’s gaming showcases, this Xbox Partner Preview will air on the official Xbox YouTube and Twitch pages. There will also be a version with American Sign Language interpretation airing on the Xbox ASL Twitch channel. We’ve embedded the YouTube livestream premiere above so you can watch it right from this web page.

What to expect from the March 2024 Xbox Partner Preview

Microsoft teased that there will be “more than a dozen new trailers” at this Xbox Partner Preview, but only confirmed three specific games. First is Surgent Studios and EA Originals’ Metroidvania Tales of Kenzera: Zau, which will get a video highlighting its combat and traversal mechanics. We’ll also see “new gameplay” from Capcom’s Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, an action game first teased at the 2023 Xbox Games Showcase. Finally, there’s The First Berserker: Khazan, a new Soulslike from Nexon.

The 2023 Xbox Partner Preview had some surprises packed into it, like the first look at gameplay from Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, so hopefully the same goes for the second entry in this new Xbox game presentation format.

Amazon Prime Gaming has 24 games up for grabs for members during November, and many are worth your time. But you'll want to check out the first game on the list, which is now available for free.

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, developed by Eidos-Montreal, was vastly underrated when it came out in 2021. While it was critically acclaimed, with one of the best superhero narratives we've seen outside of the PlayStation Spider-Man games and an excellent 1980s-inspired soundtrack, then parent company Square Enix said it "undershot" expectations. Whether it was due to poor marketing, comparisons to the poorly received live-service game Marvel's Avengers (also published by Square Enix) from the previous year, or something else entirely, it flew under the radar.

New Atari 50 DLC shows the Intellivision acquisition is already paying off
An Atari 2600+ sits on a table.

Digital Eclipse's Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration is an excellent and comprehensive look back at the company's now classic video game lineup, with games to play and extra content to interact with. So far, it's gotten one DLC: The Wider World of Atari, that added even more titles. Now, it's about to get its second, thanks to an acquisition it made earlier this year.

Atari announced The First Console War on Friday, and it's about, as you can guess, the company's first console war with the Intellivision, although it'll touch on a specific element of it. In the 1980s, Mattel was publishing games on the Intellivision. At some point, it decided to release versions of these console exclusives for its main competitor, the Atari 2600, under the M Network label. There are 19 of these games coming to Atari 50 with The First Console War, which is set to launch on November 8 for PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4 Atari 50 owners.
