Much like the Aux Level we reviewed last year, the Box is mainly about two things: simplicity and sound. Built for portability, the Box was designed for block parties or as a versatile speaker setup for your TV or home stereo. 8” subwoofers and 400 watts of raw power help deliver audio at some ridiculously deafening levels with very little distortion. We ran our test unit through the gauntlet and the Box just sang. Sound was detailed and crisp, mids were crystal clear, and the bass was beautifully robust. Our only gripe is the price which at $1500 is a bit much for a speaker that doesn’t come with the usual basics expected in a speaker even at $200, but take a listen and you’ll probably agree that these are minuscule compromises you can most definitely live with.
