Audio specialty manufacturer Boston Acoustics made several product announcements during the Consumer Electronics Show last week in Las Vegas. Perhaps most interesting of all was their news of the shipping of their new Recepter Radio HD.
The Recepter Radio HD is powered by digital HD radio technology from iBiquity Digital, which allows Boston Acoustics’ stereo table radio to pick up compatible AM and FM stations in next generation digital, multi-channel sound. Features of this $499 device include a compact satellite speaker, a mini-credit card sized remote, bass performance enhancement technology, a stereo input for iPods and other external audio sources, a multi-line display, two independent clock alarms and memory tuning for up to 20 AM/FM presets.
