Whether it’s the “never-nude” Tobias’ signature cutoff jeans, Buster’s hook-hand, GOB’s huge mistakes, or Lucille’s brutal cynicism, Arrested Development is chock-full of gags both visual and verbal. So listen up, budding graphic designers: Twentieth Century Fox today announced it has teamed up with show creator Mitch Hurwitz to search for the best fan-made cover art for the indelible series’ Season Four boxed set.

To enter the contest, fans must simply upload their original artwork to the official Tumblr page. Each submission becomes part of the real-time online gallery of contest entries on the site’s main page. Hurwitz himself will select one winner to receive the $1,000 prize and have his or her submission featured as the cover art for the Season Four DVD boxed set. All entries must be received by September 16, and the winner will be announced “on or about” November 1. The contest’s rules also permit multiple submissions.
This isn’t the first time Fox and Netflix have tapped Arrested Development‘s devoted fan base for original work inspired by the show. In 2012, after it was revealed that Netflix would bring back the show for a fourth season, the online streaming service held the “You’re Gonna Get Some Walk-Ons” contest, in which fans submitted original videos, photos, artworks, and more. The fans behind the top six submissions received walk-on roles for the newly announced season.
Early last month, Netflix’s chief content officer Ted Sarandos confirmed a fifth season of the series would eventually make its way to the masses, though Sarandos gave no official release timeline. Until then, its time to put your creative skills to work and win that prize money.
