Hulu Plus comes to TiVo

Unlike Netflix, which seems to speed onto new platforms, Hulu takes its time. In September 2010, TiVo announced that Hulu Plus would be coming to its line of DVR boxes. After eight months, the service is finally launching. Today TiVo revealed that Hulu Plus is now available to subscribers. Better yet, those who just purchased a TiVo Premiere DVR and service will get six months of free Hulu Plus. Current TiVo subscribers also get a one-month free trial of the service, which regularly costs $7.99 per month. Find out more at Tivo.com/hulu.

Hulu Plus is just the latest service to join the TiVo platform. Subscribers can also access Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Instant Video, and Blockbuster. CNET reports that the Hulu Plus interface (seen above) on TiVo is pretty standard to the interface on the PlayStation 3 and other devices. However, the service’s search feature isn’t yet connected to Hulu videos. This is expected to be fixed soon.
