- How We Chose These QLED TV Prime Day Deals
Prime Big Deal Days has ended and the sales available in its immediate wake are likely your last chance to pick up Prime Day deals on things like QLED TVs. QLEDs not only offer better picture quality and contrast, but they also are a lot brighter than your standard TV, which makes a difference if they are in a well-lit room. As such, we’ve collected some of the best Prime Day TV deals with QLED panels, although if you’re looking to take your TV set up even further, these OLED TV Prime Day deals are also worth checking out.
TCL Q65 43-Inch QLED 4K TV — $248 $350 29% off
It’s pretty rare to find a solid QLED TV at a budget price, but this 29% discount on the 43-inch TCL Q65 brings it down to just $248 and gives you quite a few good features. That includes HDR10+ and HLG HDR, the latter of which is great for sports, better overall brightness, and surprisingly solid image fidelity.
VIZIO 43-inch Quantum 4K TV — $278 $350 21% off
Another great budget option comes from Vizio, and this 43-inch TV actually has a nice little positive that it can hit a 120Hz refresh rate if you bump it down to 1080p. That makes it a great option for gaming on a connected laptop or mid-range PC, all for just $321.
Amazon Fire TV 50-inch Omni QLED Series 4K TV — $388 $530 27% off
If you want a larger 50-inch QLED TV at a reasonable price, then this deal from Amazon is probably the best you’ll find for just $388. It has both HDR10+ and HLG, as well as adaptive brightness so you’re not messing around with the remote, as well as better contrast. Not to mention that you can control the TV pretty much hands-free through the use of Alexa, so it’s great if you’re in the Amazon ecosystem.
TCL QM7 55QM751G 55-Inch QLED 4K TV — $498 $800 38% off
The substantial $302 discount on this 55-inch TCL QM7 makes it a great option for sports lovers who want a bigger QLED screen without passing $500. You’ll be happy to know that besides supporting HDR 10+ and HLG HDR, it also supports a base refresh of 120Hz, which is perfect for sports, as well as action-packed movies, shows, and gaming on a high-end gaming PC.
Hisense U7 Series 65U7N 65-Inch Mini-LED 4K TV — $748 $1,100 32% off
Hisense has been quite impressive in the last few years, and with this large 65-inch QLED TV with a whopping 32% discount, it hasn’t missed the mark. For just under $750, you also get a 144Hz refresh rate with a great game mode, Dolby Vision Atmos, and a Mini-LED panel that gives you much darker and more detailed colors.
SAMSUNG QN90D Series Neo QLED 4K TV– $1,198 $1,398 14% off
The SAMSUNG QN90D is one of the newest entries by Samsung, and while it is smaller than some of the other entries here at just 50 inches, it is packed with features. Along with a Mini-Led panel, you get Neo QLED HDR, which gives you some of the best contrast and color that you’ll find on the market, 144Hz refresh rate for gaming, sports, and film, as well as 4k AI Upscalling. And you even get 14% off to boot.
Samsung 75-inch Q80D Series QLED 4K TV — $1,800 $2,200 18% off
This massive 75-inch QLED TV from Samsung is perfect if you want a larger screen to enjoy sports without breaking the eye-watering $2,000 price tag. Luckily, you get an impressive $400 off as well as features like Quantum HDR+, an impressive 120Hz refresh rate for a screen this size and price, and full array local dimming, one of the best bits of tech out there for contrast and brightness.
SAMSUNG 85-Inch Neo QLED 4K QN85D Series 4K TV — $2,298 $3,198 29% off
Sitting somewhere between the QN 90D and QN80D The Samsung QN85D gives you a perfect balance between price and features, especially with the substantial 29% discount. This is quite possibly one of the cheaper yet largest QLED screens you’re going to find, and it’s packed with all the features you’d expect, such as a 120Hz refresh rate, AI upscaling, Mini LEDs, and a lot more.
Samsung 75-inch Class Neo QLED 4K QN90C Series TV — $1,688 $2,998 44% off
This TV is, in the words of Caleb Denison in our 2023 Samsung QN90C review, “what premium TV looks like.” Why then, did it get only 4 stars? In part because our reviewer doesn’t like the Tizen OS, which this TV uses, and in another part because the TV is so expensive by default. While the first is at least somewhat subjective, there’s no doubt that the second one is mitigated by this $400 discount.
How to Choose a QLED TV on Prime Day
The decisions that go into buying QLED TVs are similar to the thought processes you’d take when trying to consider what is the best overall TV to buy. That means that it primarily comes down to cost and whether you want to pay the extra premium for better contrast and brightness. So, if you’re the sort of person who doesn’t really watch HDR content or already has a pretty high-end TV, then making the change to QLED TVs may not exactly be worth it for you. On the other hand, if you’re upgrading your TV to something newer or buying something bigger, then it absolutely makes sense to go to QLED, and some of the best QLED TVs out there are pretty amazing.
Besides that aspect, you’ll also want to consider things like what size TV you should buy for the space that you have so you aren’t spending money on a bigger TV that you don’t need. Also, if you tend to game on a console or PC, then getting something with a base refresh rate of 120 Hz is a great idea. That also applies to action-packed movies and shows, as well as sports, and for the latter, you’ll also want to look for a TV that supports HLG HDR. Quite a lot do, so you shouldn’t be locked out of many TVs.
How We Chose These QLED TV Prime Day Deals
Given that QLED technology is relatively new, it’s a bit more straightforward to recommend QLED TVs, especially during Prime Day, one of the best sales periods for TVs. That means that pretty much all the best TV brands, and a few other brands, have some form of QLED TV on sale. As such, we do our best to pick and choose the deals that will give you a really good return on your investment, especially when looking at things like historical pricing and whether the discount is actually a discount or if the retailer or brand just temporarily raised the prices outside of these big sales event to make the discount look bigger.
We also look at things like other sort of QLED TVs within the same price bracket and what they offer to the consumer. After all, there’s no point in spending, say, $500 on one TV when you can spend $450 on a similar TV with all the same features. Of course, TV preferences tend to be quite personal and specific to the space they are needed for, so we try not to make any assumptions and provide you with a wide selection of deals.
