There’s more to Samsung’s 2016 SUHD TV lineup than just curves

On Wednesday, Samsung showed off its giant, feature-packed KS9800 TV, available in 65-inch, 78-inch, and massive 88-inch varieties. That said, given the prices of those models — $20,000 for the 88-inch variety — they’re not exactly the TVs everyone will be bringing home this year.

Fortunately, Samsung also announced the pricing and availability of the rest of its 2016 SUHD TV lineup yesterday. Whether you’re looking for a curved model or the more traditional flat variety, chances are that between the sizes and prices announced, you’ll be able to find something that suits your living room. Every model here supports HDR and is Premium UHD-certified by the UHD alliance.

The super-slim, curved KS9500 is what was initially believed to be Samsung’s top-of-the-line in 2016, and it’s still quite the premium offering. Between the Quantum Dot Color and Supreme UHD Dimming, this model boasts deep blacks and good contrast, but the display isn’t the only aspect that Samsung expects will draw customers. It also features a built-in IoT Hub for Samsung’s SmartThings platform, allowing users to control other devices with its universal remote.

The KS9500 is available in 55- and 65-inch varieties, both of which are available now and sell for $2,500 and $3,700, respectively. If you’re looking for something on the larger side, a 78-inch is also on the way, and will be available in June for $8,000.

If you’re not a fan of curved displays, but still want the best Samsung has to offer, KS9000 is the company’s highest-end flat model. As with the KS9500, this model features Quantum Dot Color and Supreme UHD Dimming, as well as Supreme Motion Rate 240 to keep up with the even the fastest action sequences. Its 55- and 65-inch inch versions are available now for $2,300 and $3,500. A 75-inch model is coming in early June and will sell for $6,500.

The curved KS8500 might not have the bezel-less look of the KS9500, but if the picture is what counts to you, this model has still got the goods with Quantum Dot Color, HDR1000 High Dynamic Range and Peak Illuminator Pro, and at a much more affordable price. A 55-inch model for $2,000 and a 65-inch model for $3,000 are available now. A 49-inch model is also coming in May for $1,700.

Finally, the flat KS8000 series represents the most affordable of Samsung’s 2016 SUHD line, but still offers Quantum Dot Color, HDR1000 High Dynamic Range, Peak Illuminator Pro, and Supreme Motion Rate 240. Models of 55 and 65 inches are available for $1,800 and $2,800, respectively, with a $2,300 60-inch model and $1,500 49-inch model coming in May.
