How to Choose a Samsung TV on Prime Day
Even though Samsung generally has a very wide selection of TVs, the way you’d go about picking them is relatively straightforward. Samsung’s TVs are broken up into four general categories: Neo QLED, QLED, OLED, and “lifestyle” TVs, the last of which is made for things like projectors and Samsung’s The Frame TV. For the most part, if you’re looking for Samsung’s more budget-oriented offerings, then you’re going to want to go with QLED TVs such as the 60-series and 70-series TVs that start at 32 inches and go all the way up to 98+.
On the other hand, if you want an OLED TV, that’s going to be the 80 and 90 series TVs that start at 42 inches and go all the way up to 84 inches, although be aware that you’re going to be paying quite a premium for these. Then, of course, there is the Neo QLED, which is mostly a technology that helps avoid screen burn, but for Samsung it is also the only lineup that has 8K resolutions, so if you want that, then you’ll want to be looking out for Samsung’s Neo QLEDs.
One final addition is the refresh rate; if you’re a gaming fan on consoles or PC, then having a TV that can hit a 120 Hz base refresh rate is the way to go. It’s also a good idea to have that if you like watching sports and more action-packed content as well.
How We Chose These Samsung TV Prime Day Deals
While Samsung itself often has a lot of great deals on its TVs, the truth is that a lot of the time, they aren’t really the best deals. That’s why we have to go out and scour all the other big retailers to find the best deal we can on any individual TV, so that when you press the buy button, you know you’re getting the cheapest deal possible. We also use our own experience and tools to see if any specific deal is good and is offering you good value based on other TVs in a similar price bracket, since there’s no point in spending the same amount of money for fewer features.
Ultimately, this can be a complicated process, but we’re committed to ensuring you don’t regret any TV you buy that’s listed on here.
