Load Up Your iPod At The CD Store

Load Up Your iPod At The CD StoreA new in-store device is going to let you rip that CD or DVD to your portable device or mobile even before you leave the shop.   Called CD2, the device, which is essentially a kiosk, allows thepurchaser to transfer the content of the CD or DVD tohis iPod, MP3 player or mobile phone. It’s generated interest both in the UK and North America, and its makers, Ripfactory, has alreadysigned a deal with a major UK chain, which is introducing the kiosk into its stores in both Britain and the US.   According to Ripfactory managingdirector Patrick McGrath, part of the kiosk’s appeal is its ease.   “Once you’ve bought your CDs over the counter you just pop them into the kiosk in the shop, plug in your iPod orMP3 player, and it will transfer all the content then and there, within a matter of a few minutes.”   The kiosk, which launched in June in London, can load up to four CDs at a time anduses a touch screen. It can also transfer cover art and the standard meta tags of track listing and album title.

Gymera - Revolutionary Intelligent Home Fitness

Exercising at home has many advantages. You can tailor your workouts to fit your own schedule; you can enjoy the privacy of being in your own house or apartment; it's easier to remove distractions so you can focus on your work, and it saves you from having to go back and forth to the gym several times a week. There are a few drawbacks, though. Namely, you need to furnish your own equipment, and you need to find your own motivation for working out, even when you may not feel like it. Gymera solves both of these problems: Gymera makes exercise both effective and fun, and if you back it now on Kickstarter, you can get an Early Bird discount of up to 45%. Here's why you might consider adding Gymera to your home gym.

If you’re already paranoid about Echo speakers listening in on your conversation, the Roomba-maker’s buyout should set off some blaring alarm bells.

Here’s a rough idea of where we currently are in our intimate relationship with the omnicorporation: Amazon knows what you’re reading, the TV shows you have left incomplete, what’s on your shopping wish list, what kind of questions you trouble Alexa with on a daily basis, who your favorite music artist is, and what the view from your porch looks like -- soon, your medical history as well. With millions of Roomba vacuum cleaners soon to fall into its network, Amazon will also know your house’s floor plan, too.
