Crystal Bowersox – Farmer’s Daughter
The runner-up on season 9 of American Idol, Crystal Bowersox charmed viewers with her country roots and unique folk style. She is now releasing her debut album, Farmer’s Daughter, on Jive records. Her soulful acoustic sound is reminiscent of earlier female singer-songwriters like Natalie Merchant and Tracy Chapman.
Michael Jackson – Michael
Despite controversy over the posthumous release of this album, fans will no doubt be interested to hear the last works of the king of pop. While he had little to do with how the songs were finished, Jackson’s vocals sound like himself and the album features interesting collaborations with Akon, Lenny Kravitz, and 50 cent.
Ciara – Basic Instinct
Hip-Hop/Pop chart topper Ciara is back with her third studio album, Basic Instinct. The album features “Ride,” a collaboration with Ludacris, and upbeat second single “Gimmie Dat.”
