Proving there is sometimes strength in numbers, Yahoo! today announced they were upgrading the search engine functionality of their HotJobs job search site. This new upgrade, powered by the company’s Internet search technology, will crawl other employer and job-related Websites to collect and display listings for job seekers.
The new listings, according to a release from Yahoo!, will be displayed in addition to the HotJobs postings. The online portal is doing this, they say, to provide the most comprehensive job search experience online. They are currently testing implementation of these new listings to ensure optimal results for both seekers and recruiters.
“Job seekers now have one place to find quality jobs from across the Web,” said Dan Finnigan, Yahoo! senior vice president and Yahoo! HotJobs general manager. “The new job search engine will give our recruitment customers a distinct advantage in today’s competitive war for talent. We have found that more jobs increase the number of job seekers, and when combined with Yahoo!’s industry-leading search technology, lead to more qualified candidates for our customers.”
