First up is the Samsung Galaxy J3, which is set to go on sale on May 3. It has a price tag of $170 and is the best of the bunch. It includes up to 16GB of onboard storage, as well as a MicroSD card slot, enabling you to expand storage by up to 128GB. It has a 5.0-inch display with a resolution of 720 x 1,280 pixels, as well as an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Last but not least is the 1.5GB of RAM. In all honesty, while the specs certainly aren’t anything to write home about, this is not a bad phone for the price.

Samsung Galaxy Express Prime

The second device is the Samsung Galaxy Express Prime GoPhone, which is on sale for $130. The phone includes 16GB of internal storage, and a MicroSD card slot. It also comes with an Exynos 3475 processor and 1.5GB of RAM. The Express Prime GoPhone, as the name suggests, will only be available through AT&T GoPhone, though.

Samsung Galaxy Express 3

Last but not least is the Samsung Galaxy Express 3, which comes with a 4.5-inch AMOLED screen and a 2,050-mAh battery. It has a 5-megapixel rear-facing and 2-megapixel front-facing camera combo, and is also only available through GoPhone for just $80.

These days, the words “budget phone” just don’t taste as bitter as they used to. All of these phones are a great way to experience Android, and while they might not be the best phones for the tech enthusiast; for the budget-minded or the first-time smartphone owner, they aren’t bad at all.
