Find your Republican soulmate with Rep, a conservative dating app

Are politics an important consideration for finding your significant other? Do you find it hard to imagine the union of a donkey and an elephant? If so, you might need to check out a dating app designed specifically with your political leanings in mind. And if you’re part of the Grand Old Party, you can check out REP, the app that promises the enjoyment of “safe Republican dating with like-minded Republican singles.” So have at it Republicans — the possibility of dating, love, or even marriage could be just one app away.

To use the app, simply create an up-to-date and detailed profile, which will be password protected (ostensibly to prevent “all sorts of dating cyber hassles”). You can set your dating preferences and specify qualities you find most appealing (other than voting red, of course), and once you’re ready to go, you’ll become discoverable to other users.

From there, Rep works like any other dating app — you can chat with prospects, go on dates, and see if that virtual chemistry exists in real life too. And at the very least, you’ll know that you have something in common — being a conservative single.

If things don’t work out, or you find that your fellow Republican is just cramping your online dating style, rest assured that you can block certain contacts. Rep also claims that its “powerful and intuitive filtering system” will make it easier than ever for members of the GOP to find one another, and perhaps, fall in love.

This latest conservative dating app follows a trend of politically driven matchmaking; from Maple Match to TrumpSingles.com, it looks as though a growing number of singles on both sides of the political spectrum are relying upon their voting records to determine prospective mates.

So if you’re looking for another Republican single in your area, consider the Rep database. You never know who you may find.

Before you head to the app store on your phone to buy a voice-recording app, take a moment to consider the apps that may already be installed on your phone. Why? In my experience, they're likely all you really need. I’ve recorded interviews and voice-overs for work for years, and I’ve found the two best examples come preinstalled on your phone already, so they’re entirely free to use.
