The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 has finally been revealed, and yes, it looks gorgeous. Like its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Flip 5, the new model should push the revitalized flip smartphone market closer to the mainstream. The biggest additions to the Galaxy Z Flip 6 are its new cameras and improved battery life. It also contains the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip found in the Galaxy S24 series, including the Galaxy S24 Ultra.

The new Galaxy Z Flip 6 will grab attention for its design in a phone market segment that was nearly obsolete just a few years ago. But did it bring back older technology, such as a 3.5-inch headphone jack? Does Samsung’s latest flip phone include a headphone jack, or does the Z Flip 6 continue the trend of omitting this once-essential port? Let’s find out.

Unfortunately, no — the Galaxy Z Flip 6 does not have a headphone jack. That isn’t surprising, considering that Samsung has not included one in its top-tier phones since the Galaxy S10 five years ago, but it’s still worth pointing out regardless.

While it was expected that the Galaxy Z Flip 6 would not have a headphone jack, it’s good to have confirmation. This doesn’t mean you can’t listen to your favorite tunes, videos, and other multimedia on the phone; you just can’t use traditional headphones that require a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Galaxy Z Flip 6 offers several ways to listen to content. The simplest method is using a Bluetooth connection with any of the best earbuds or best headphones on the market. You can choose a pair from Samsung or from other brands as long as they support Bluetooth, allowing you to pick the best option. The days of premium pricing for wireless earbuds are over, and now you can find high-quality options at various price points.

If you prefer using wired headphones with your phone, you can use a USB-C to 3.5mm dongle. These dongles are inexpensive and require you to plug one end into your phone’s USB-C port and the other into your headphones.

If headphones aren’t your thing, there are also terrific Bluetooth speakers on the market that you can use to listen. These speakers also come at various prices to match your budget.

While the images don't reveal the complete picture, they confirm some key design elements and hint at potential color options. These images were posted on X by Evan Blass and later mentioned by Android Headlines.

One image showcased shows a prominent rear camera bump housing three lenses. While this confirms a triple-camera setup, it seems that a periscope telephoto lens won't be included, potentially disappointing those hoping for enhanced zoom capabilities.

Smartphone manufacturers rarely change how rear cameras look from generation to generation. When they do, it makes news, like when the regular Apple iPhone 16 launched with a new vertical pill-shaped camera system last month. Now, Samsung is about to make a camera design change, this time on the upcoming Galaxy S25 Ultra.

According to Ice Universe, Samsung’s next flagship device will feature a camera design slightly similar to that of the Galaxy Z Fold 6. While this isn’t an earth-shattering change, it’s interesting nonetheless.
