Flagship Samsung phone pics leak, has super AMOLED display

For those disappointed by the look of the Nexus S, check this out. Engadget has obtained a corporate slide showing a new “flagship” Android phone from Samsung. While it could be a fake, the slide shows an extremely sleek and thin phone running Android Gingerbread and Google cloud services. The device’s super AMOLED2 screen measures 4.3-4.5 inches, a bit larger than Motorola’s Droid X. We don’t know the states of sAMOLED2, but we assume it’s nicer than the standard AMOLED screens on current generation Galaxy S phones. The device is set to launch in the first half of 2011.

The phone will also have 16 GB of onboard storage, an 8 megapixel camera that can record 1080p video, has a 1.2 GHz processor, Bluetooth 3.0, and 14.4 Mbps HSPA network connection. Samsung’s Galaxy S series has performed quite well, with more than 7 million units shipped in the United States so far.

Like Galaxy S phones, the design appears to borrow heavily from the iPhone. This device, however, appears to mimic the iPhone 4, with a single button on the bottom and silver side paneling. The iPhone 13 has landed, fresh with a range of improvements and upgrades over its predecessor, the iPhone 12. It boasts a new, more powerful processor, more internal memory, an expanded battery, and even a narrowed notch. Forgetting Pro and Pro Max models, it is the best smartphone Apple has released to date and one of the best smartphones you're likely to find.

We live in a Golden Age for flagship smartphones that cram the capabilities of a laptop into a small frame, so the iPhone 13 isn't short of competition. Its most notable rival is arguably the Samsung Galaxy S21, which also provides an advance over its forerunners while keeping itself more affordable than earlier entries in its long-running series. Like the iPhone 13, it's one of the best not-too-expensive phones out right now.

Leak of Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra photos and video reveals a very Note-like phone

-Samsung released the Galaxy S21 and S21 Plus in January 2021. Now, an anonymous tipster who goes by the name of IceUniverse has revealed major details of the upcoming version, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, ahead of its launch. Combined with a new video from Front Page Tech's Jon Prosser, which shows off the physical hardware of the phone, we now know a lot more about what the S22 Ultra could offer.
The largest change with the S22 Ultra here is its Galaxy Note-esque design. Samsung had been said to be killing off the Note as the S and Note lines converged over the years and as the Galaxy Z Flip and Fold lines became the focus in terms of its innovative devices. However, the squared-off design and embedded S-Pen still had their fans, and even carrier partners were complaining about the lack of a Note. The S22 Ultra, if these rumors prove accurate, would be an attempt to win back (or retain) those fans.
The phone is expected to have a QHD+ 6.8-inch screen with a 120 Hz AMOLED display, as well as slightly curved edges, similar to the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus. The rear panel of the new smartphone has also been slightly altered, unlike the Galaxy S22 and S22 Plus. The leaker has also revealed that the phone is expected to have the highest brightness on any of Samsung's smartphones at around 1800 nits.

iPhone 13 Pro Max vs. Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra: Who wins?

There's no mistaking that the iPhone 13 Pro Max is the most deluxe, souped-up Apple smartphone you can buy right now. Boasting newly improved camera lenses, a stunning 120Hz refresh rate, an enlarged (and more efficient) battery, the new A15 Bionic chip, and the option to have a whopping 1TB in storage, it pretty much covers every single base a smartphone can cover.

However, while it may be the best iOS phone, it's not necessarily the best smartphone using any operating system. One other prime candidate for such a title is the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, which also improves on its predecessor in several major areas. As with the iPhone 13 Pro Max, it really does put most other smartphones to shame, even if it's not for anyone looking to save a little money.
