Rumor: Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Tab 3 hardware tipped for September launch

Samsung Galaxy Note 2Check out our review of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 phablet.

The phrase, “The next big thing is just around the corner,” has never been more relevant, as rumors have begun to appear concerning the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, which if earlier chatter is correct will be bigger than ever. According to Samsung gossip blog SamMobile, the Note 3 will launch at the IFA Berlin tech trade show later this year, where it’ll be joined by a new series of Galaxy Tab tablets.

The Galaxy Note 2 was announced at the end of August 2012 at an Unpacked event just before IFA Berlin opened, so it’s logical to expect the company to do the same again this year. However, with the Galaxy S4 arriving only ten months into the Galaxy S3’s lifecycle, there’s also a distinct possibility Samsung may introduce the Note 3 early too.

As for the Galaxy Note 3’s tech specs, SamMobile’s anonymous insider had nothing to say on the subject, but this news comes soon after another report indicated the third incarnation of Samsung’s smartphone/tablet hybrid would boast a 5.9-inch display. This would make it almost half an inch larger than Galaxy Note 2’s screen, and just over an inch smaller than the company’s smallest tablet.

On the subject of tablets, there’s a chance the Note 3 will be joined by the Galaxy Tab 3 series, updating the Galaxy Tab 2 range launched in early 2012. Exactly how many Tab 3 tablets will be revealed isn’t discussed, as in previous years Samsung has used a wide variety of screen sizes, from 7-inches to 10.1-inches, with 7.7-inches and 8.9-inches in-between on its Galaxy Tab devices.

We already know the Galaxy S4 smartphone’s Unpacked event was the first of several events the company has planned this year, so should the rumor turn out to be factual, we can expect the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Tab 3 hardware to arrive not at the show, but at a dedicated Unpacked event just before it opens. The IFA show in Berlin opens on September 6 and runs until September 11, so there’s still a few months to go before we’ll hear anything official.

This phone may have already beat the Galaxy Z Flip 5 in a big way
A leaked render of the Oppo Find N3 Flip that shows the phone unfolded with three cameras on its front cover.

Foldable phones are getting exponentially better with each new iteration, and a new smartphone might already be outdoing the Galaxy Z Flip 5 before it even hits store shelves. According to a new leaked render, the Oppo Find N3 Flip will be outfitted with a triple-camera setup — a major step up from the dual-camera arrays that flip smartphones have been rocking for the past several years.

As shared by 91Mobiles, the Oppo Find N3 Flip will feature three cameras on its cover: a 50MP main lens, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 32MP telephoto lens. If the information is true, which it seems like it might be, then the Find N3 Flip will be breaking new ground for photographers who are looking to enjoy the benefits of foldable devices.

Usually $600, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE is $130 off at Best Buy
Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 feat image.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE is currently on sale from Best Buy, with the model offering 128GB of storage and 6GB of RAM available for just $470 following the retailer's $130 discount on its sticker price of $600. This is one of the most attractive tablet deals in the market right now, but time is running out if you want to take advantage of it. The device's price goes back to normal at the end of the day, so you shouldn't waste time if you want to purchase it.

Why you should buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE, is a new version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 Plus as it's equipped with the same 12.4-inch touchscreen with 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution, instead of the 11-inch touchscreen of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE, however, has a TFT screen, and not the Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate that's found in the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 Plus and Samsung Galaxy Tab S7. That's an acceptable trade-off for the tablet's lower price though, especially if you'll only be using the device for watching streaming content, playing games, and browsing the internet.
