Every second counts! How to receive important emails as text messages

Most of us want to know be notified when important emails come through, but we could car less for the the abundance of clutter we receive on the daily. These days, there’s a ton of it, much of which gets in the way of productivity. However, there also might be some emails you really care about seeing immediately. While you could turn on your mail app’s notifications, doing so would likely just add to your list of distractions.

Thankfully, there’s an old-school solution for the situation if you’re on any of the major phone carriers. Just follow the steps below.

Step 1: Google your carrier name and add “email phone number” to your search query.
Step 2: Copy the provided email address it gives you. For instance, if you’re with T-Mobile, you’ll want to tack on “@tmomail.net” to your phone number.
Step 3: Now go into your email settings if you want better filter the emails you receive. If it’s a particular subject line you’re interested in, or if you want everything that a certain someone sends, enter that information. Then, just forward it to your new carrier email address.

The new Kindle Colorsoft Signature Edition is the first full-color e-reader, and a lot of bookworms couldn't wait to get their hands on it. Sadly, many people are reporting the display has a discolored yellow area at the bottom of the screen. The problem is so widespread that the Kindle Colorsoft dropped to an average review rating of 2.6 out of 5, although it does remain the bestselling e-book reader at the moment.

The cause of the discoloration isn't clear. Some users report that it only happens when using the edge lighting feature on the Kindle, while others say it appeared after a software update. Either way, the yellowing is a problem, especially on a device that Amazon has marketed as being great for comics and graphic novel fans. It's hard to enjoy the colorwork in a comic when it's distorted.
