It’s all about the Power of 10 this year for HTC. On tap for this spring is the HTC 10, and it now appears the Taiwanese company might be readying a mini version of the device now that Apple has made a splash with the iPhone SE. What makes the iPhone SE special is that not only is it a smaller phone, it features similar specs found on the larger, more premium phones.

Based on the rumors, HTC might be going in the same direction with the HTC 10 Mini. Here’s everything we know about it so far.

Top of the line specs

According to Android News in Australia, the HTC 10 Mini was revealed in a leaked memo, and it sports a 4.7-inch display. It might not be considered a “mini” by some people, especially when the iPhone SE has a 4-inch display. However, with most phones being 5-inches or greater, it’s not a crazy notion either.

As far as power is concerned, the HTC 10 Mini could feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 823 under the hood. This processor hasn’t been officially announced by Qualcomm, and the rumor is that it will be identical to the Snapdragon 820, but with a higher 2.8GHz clock speed. So it’s likely to be a quad-core processor built with custom Kryo 64-bit cores.

The only other rumored spec is that it’ll have 4GB of RAM, which is pretty hefty for a mini phone.

Design

Little is known about the design of the rumored phone, but it’s likely to look very much like the HTC 10. So it could have an all metal body and chamfered edges on the backside. It’s also likely to sport a similar home button at the bottom front of the device, which could double as a fingerprint sensor.

Release date and pricing

The HTC 10 Mini is rumored to launch this September. However, we don’t know if that refers to an event when the phone will be officially announced or if it will actually become available for purchase.

We’ll keep you updated on the HTC 10 Mini rumors right here, so check back often.

Six new OnePlus devices leak, including the 10 Ultra
OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G camera seen from the back.

OnePlus is gearing up to release six new phones in 2022, according to a recent leak. It's been common knowledge that the Chinese company has been interested in bringing its premier devices overseas, but the six new phones rumored to debut later this year could prove that OnePlus is going all-out with its newest releases.

According to a tweet from leaker Yogesh Brar first spotted by 91mobiles, the six phones will be released over the course of 2022, one phone every month or so. The device closest to the horizon is the OnePlus 10 Pro, and Brar says that an official announcement for its worldwide release date should be coming before the end of March. This seems to fit in with what OnePlus has told the public so far regarding the 10 Pro, so it seems plausible that Brar is correct.

Garmin’s new D2 Air X10 adds voice controls for $550
A pilot wearing Garmin's Air X10 watch

Garmin today introduced a new smartwatch aimed at pilots and people who love flying. With the Garmin D2 Air X10, a successor to the older D2 Air, the company has built a typical smartwatch experience with a discrete aviation mode that builds in features that pilots would find necessary as well as added a little extra on the top.

The Garmin D2 Air X10 has one major upgrade over the previous D2 Air model -- the inclusion of voice functionality. Allowing pilots to keep their hands free while on the go, the D2 Air X10 can now be used in tandem with your phone's digital assistant, (Siri or Google Assistant depending on whether you use iOS or Android) to dictate texts and ask the typical queries you'd want to know as an air enthusiast. With a starting price of $550, it's probably worth considering if the existing Garmin D2 Air is a better fit with its $500 price point.
