HTC One Remix now available on Verizon

Verizon has added a new HTC smartphone to its range, called the One Remix, making it sound funky, cool, and new. While it’s certainly not without interest, the One Remix is actually Verizon’s own version of the previously announced One Mini 2. The most striking difference between the two is all the Verizon branding slapped over the device. You won’t be forgetting to which carrier you’re connected in a hurry.

Ignore the Verizon logos, and the One Remix looks to be identical to the One Mini 2. It has a 4.5-inch touchscreen with a 720p resolution, and runs Android 4.4.2. The official image shows Blinkfeed running on the phone, which is part of HTC’s Sense user interface. Verizon says a selection of apps come pre-installed, but only mentions Twitter by name, along with an unnamed calendar and news app.

Flip the phone over and you won’t find the Duo Camera which is fitted to the full-size One M8, but a 13-megapixel lens instead. It’s accompanied by an LED flash. Above the screen is a 5-megapixel camera for taking a decent selfie. A MicroSD card slot will boost the 16GB of internal storage space by up to 128GB, if you have a card that size hanging around. Finally, the phone has HTC’s dual BoomSound speakers fitted to the front panel, and the phone is ready to connect to Verizon’s XLTE network.

The One Remix presumably shares the same metal chassis as the One Mini 2, which has a plastic surround to help lower the price compared to the all-metal One M8. Verizon will sell the One Remix for $100 with a new two-year contract, and it’ll be on sale in-store and online from July 24.

OnePlus is planning on starting the new year off with a bang by revealing the much-anticipated OnePlus 11. Launching on February 7 during the company's annual first-quarter showcase, the OnePlus 11 boasts the return of two user-favorite features: the company's signature alert slider and Hasselblad photography integration — both of which were absent on the OnePlus 10T.

Although OnePlus is still keeping most of the official details about the OnePlus 11 under wraps until February, there have been plenty of leaks and rumors surrounding the phone — and they've painted it as a worthy successor to the OnePlus 10T, the company's most recent flagship.

Samsung’s One UI 5 beta is already available for some Galaxy S22 owners

Samsung's One UI 5 beta is beginning to roll out for select Galaxy S22 owners via the Samsung Members app. Today, Samsung announced the early rollout would be exclusive to Germany, South Korea, and the U.S. — but it quickly pulled the announcement from its website without a replacement (likely a sign that the post went up earlier than it should have). While Samsung works on getting its timing right, folks who've gotten early access to One UI 5 have taken to Twitter to show off the new features.

As expected, One UI 5 puts customization at the forefront of the update. Now, Galaxy users will have nearly endless options when it comes to how they want their UI to look. Early examples that we've seen on Twitter include things such as expanded color options, widget stacking, and more ways than ever before to customize notification settings. All of this was detailed in the pulled presser that Samsung officially posted earlier today, in addition to details regarding other new features coming with the update.

OnePlus is ready to put its latest budget flagship - the OnePlus 10T – on the shelves in the U. S. and elsewhere. For an asking price of $650, you get some impressive tricks such as support for 125W charging, the fastest chip on Qualcomm’s menu, and a 120Hz OLED display (among other things). From the looks of it, the OnePlus 10T seems like a true return to form for the brand. I think it's a compelling retelling of OnePlus's flagship killer journey in the industry. Especially compared to the 10 Pro from earlier this year.

The quest for making an all-out Android flagship ballooned the price tag past the budget of OnePlus’ most loyal audience. The OnePlus 10 Pro grabbed the spotlight with its Hasselblad cameras and striking design, but its starting price of $899 was tough to swallow. With the OnePlus 10T, a few corners have been cut (read: no wireless charging, no alert slider, and less serious camera hardware), but the $650 asking price is too tempting to miss out on this phone. But only if the OnePlus 10 Pro did not exist.
