iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro now come in new colors

At Apple’s Spring Event 2022, the iPhone maker announced new colors for its iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro. You’ll now be able to get an iPhone 13 in green and an iPhone 13 Pro in Alpine Green. “Created using multiple layers of nanometer-scale metallic ceramics applied across the surface,” according to Apple, the new green color for the regular iPhone 13 is rich and deep, and it resembles a forest green shade. The iPhone 13 Pro in the new Alpine green is a lighter shade, but still vibrant. These new colors will be available beginning March 18, 2022.

The new iPhone 13 and 13 Pro get a new green hue.

The iPhone 13 was announced on September 14, 2021, and it began shipping on September 24, 2021. The regular iPhone 13 initially only came in red, starlight, midnight blue, or pink, while the iPhone 13 Pro initially only came in graphite, gold, silver, and sierra blue. These new color options will provide iPhone 13 and 13 Pro fans with another finish option, as a finish can be a make or break factor for some users.

“People love the design of iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13, and we’re excited to unveil the stunning new alpine green and green finishes, which join the wide range of beautiful colors on the iPhone 13 lineup,” said Bob Borchers, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing in an Apple press release. “These new colors give customers even more options when choosing their iPhone, and we can’t wait for them to take advantage of all the iPhone 13 lineup offers, including unmatched performance with A15 Bionic, our best camera systems, massive improvements to battery life for everyday needs, fast 5G, incredible durability, and so much more.”

I can’t believe my favorite new keyboard came from a phone company
OnePlus Keyboard 81 on a pink background.

I don't get excited about keyboards much these days. There are so many good ones out there and little in the way of innovation. No surprise, then, that I wrote off the OnePlus Keyboard 81 Pro immediately after it was announced. How good could a keyboard from a phone company be anyways? Boy, was I wrong.

Like any new keyboard, I pulled the Keyboard 81 Pro out of the box and drummed my fingers along the keys, expecting a harsh, unpleasant smattering of plastic and squeaky springs that I'd heard many times before. This stock mechanical keyboard feel isn't bad, but I've become a keyboard snob over the past few years (and yes, feel free to roast me for that fact). But I didn't hear that sound or feel that feel. The Keyboard 81 Pro was quiet.
