There weren’t many surprises as LG unveiled its “four-tier strategy” at MWC and announced plans to “sell 10 million smartphones each quarter and double sales of LTE devices in 2013.” How does the South Korean company intend to achieve that? With a flood of new smartphones to cover all market segments. Most of these devices were revealed via teasers or announcements in the lead up to MWC 2013, but they went on show in Barcelona this morning. Here’s what LG has to offer.
LG Optimus G Pro
With a 5.5-inch 1080p display, a 1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor, 2GB of RAM, and a 13-megapixel camera there’s no mistaking LG’s new flagship. The LG Optimus Pro was announced a couple of weeks ago. This huge, powerful smartphone runs Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and has some unique LG features including QSlide, QuickMemo, and Live Zooming. There are also a few new features like Dual Recording and Virtual Reality Panorama. Dual recording allows you to shoot video from the main camera and the front-facing 2.1-megapixel camera simultaneously while the VR Panorama mode gives you a 360 degree photo.

LG Optimus Vu
Here’s another hybrid smartphone and tablet device from LG in its Optimus Vu line. It will build on the moderate success of the original Vu with a 5-inch, 4:3 aspect ratio display which we’re told is ideal for “viewing documents, e-books, multimedia content, and browsing the internet”.
LG Optimus F7 and F5
The LG F series was confirmed about a week ago and includes the F7 and the F5. These Android 4.1.2 smartphones are “specifically designed for consumers making the transition from 3G to 4G LTE networks.” The F7 boasts a 4.7-inch True HD IPS display, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 2GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel camera, and 8GB of storage, while the F5 drops to a 4.3-inch display, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, and a 5-megapixel camera. They both have microSD card slots to bolster the 8GB of internal storage.
LG Optimus L3II, L5II, and L7II
An update to LG’s entry-level L series is really about bringing the latest flavor of Android to the line. There have been a few design tweaks as well, most notably the addition of smart LED lighting. The 3.2-inch L3II, 4-inch L5II, and the 4.3-inch L7II will all run Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. They each have a 1GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM8225 processor, and the best of the bunch, the L7II, also has an 8-megapixel camera, 768MB of RAM, and 4GB of storage.
