LG Vu Plus: Flo TV on AT&T for $150

Sure, smartphones might be all the rage, but sometimes all you want is a mobile device that lets you keep up with all your television…plus helps you find where you’re going and keep in touch with your friends. To that end, AT&T is launching the LV Vu Plus on June 6: the phone features a 43-inch touchscreen display, a slide-out QWERTY keypad for messaging, plus access to full-length broadcast television shows from FLO TV.

“AT&T customers can stay connected to their social circle while on the go with this device,” said AT&T Mobility and Consumer Markets VP Michael Woodward, in a statement. “LG Vu Plus creates easy access to everything, from social networking to TV shows, while backed by the nation’s fastest 3G network.”

The LG Vu Plus can tap into social networks like Twitter, Facebook, and MySpace via a unified interface, and offers AT&T Navigator service with turn-by-turn driving directions and automatic rerouting to get around traffic jams. The phone also offers a full-HTML Web browser.

However, all that convenience will be a little expensive. The phone itself is $149 (customers pay $199 and receive a $50 AT&T promotion card good for 120 days) with a new two year service agreement. Customers who want that mobile TV service will pay an additional $9.99 per month (the first seven days are free, though), and customers who want that navigation services will pay another $9.99 per month. Those charges are on top of voice and data service for the phone. So if you’re the kind of person who travels to a lot of new places and hates not being able to figure out the weird broadcast channels or cable systems in those spots…the LG Vu Plus might have you covered.

The OnePlus 11 totally changed my mind about OnePlus phones

OnePlus has looked all at sea recently, as it struggled to come to terms with huge changes that seemingly affected every part of the business — from the way it designs phones to the software it uses on them. Anyone who has followed OnePlus from the beginning will have an idea of how disruptive this likely was, as the Never Settle company always seemed to fiercely pride itself on individualism and doing something different.

The OnePlus 10T was evidence of this. A phone entirely out of place with the brand’s previous devices, poorly marketed, and — worst of all — not very good. It made me approach the OnePlus 11 with trepidation, deliberately lowering my expectations before using it. But my caution wasn’t warranted. The OnePlus 11 rights the wrongs the OnePlus 10T inflicted on us, and puts OnePlus right back to where it belongs: on our recommended list.

The OnePlus 11 will have its global launch on February 7 at an event in New Delhi, but on January 4, it was announced in China, where it will go on sale ahead of its international debut. This means we know a lot about the phone before we've even had the chance to get our hands on it. If you're excited about the OnePlus 11, here's what you need to know about it.

OnePlus says the design of the OnePlus 11 has been inspired by black holes. It's an unusual source of inspiration, but there is something black hole-like about the massive camera module on the back of the phone, which is made of stainless steel. The body of the phone itself seems like it is a glass sandwich design with a thin metallic frame between the glass slabs. The glass is curved on either side of the frame, and you may be able to tell that the front screen has a subtle curve because of this. On the front, the display has a hole-punch cutout in the upper-left corner, housing the selfie camera.
