Motorola Razr 2022 is coming to the U.K. with a price Samsung will hate

The Motorola Razr 2022 is set to be available in the U.K. and pther parts of Europe starting October 25. It will be the first region outside China where the latest Moto foldable is sold.

The last time we heard about the Razr 2022 was in August when the phone received its China launch, but at the time, nothing was said about an international launch, leaving us waiting for news. Now that the phone is more widely available, has anything changed?

The Razr 2022 is a considerable step up over the more nostalgic entries in the foldable Razr series. This is a smartphone with serious specs, starting out with the 6.7-inch, 144Hz P-OLED screen visible when the phone is unfolded, and the 2.7-inch Quick View screen that’s ready to be used when the phone is closed.

The hinge allows the phone to be held open at different angles, allowing for video to be watched without having to prop the phone up against something. A split-screen mode enables multitasking when the phone is held open like this too. A 50-megapixel main camera leads the Razr 2022’s camera array and is joined by a 13MP wide-angle camera. There’s also a 32MP selfie camera at the top of the screen when the phone is open.

Perhaps the most welcome new specification is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, which will make the Razr 2022 a seriously high-performance device, and should put it on a performance level with its main rival, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4. Motorola has been very clever with the price of the Razr 2022, and at 949 British pounds (about $1,070), it undercuts the 999 pounds Galaxy Z Flip 4 by enough to get some attention. In the rest of Europe, the Razr 2022 costs 1199 euros.

Unfortunately, there’s still no word on a U.S. release for the Razr 2022. It’s possible the phone may eventually arrive, perhaps in early 2023, and should it do so with a $949 price tag, it’ll have a good chance to take on the excellent Z Flip 4 too. A new Motorola Razr is coming soon, and it could be the best one yet
Folding the new Motorola razr.

Just a little over six months after Motorola launched its Razr (2022) folding phone, the company has confirmed that another Razr foldable is in the works. But not only that, it sounds like Motorola's next Razr will be here a lot sooner than we expected.

Speaking to CNBC, Lenovo CEO Yuanqing Yang said that a new version of the Motorola Razr will be released "very soon," while also noting that reception to the Razr foldable lineup has been "good." And compared to past versions of the Razr, Yang also went on to say that he thinks the new 2023 model is "much better."

The U.K. wants to break up Google and Apple’s cloud gaming stranglehold

The U.K.'s Competition and Market Authority (CMA) is opening an investigation into Apple and Google's dominance of the mobile browser and cloud gaming markets, the body announced today. Both companies could face fines and additional regulation if found guilty of anticompetitive behavior.

The investigation comes as a result of a consultation the body had launched in June, finding that Apple and Google's duopoly on mobile allowed them to control not just operating systems, but app stores and web browsers. The CMA says that both companies controlled 97% of all mobile browsing experiences in the U.K. in 2021 and notes that they could effectively control cloud gaming through browser restrictions. The consultation revealed support from browser vendors and cloud gaming service providers who claim to be limited by the duopoly, with about 86% requesting for an in-depth investigation.

Does the Apple iPad Pro (2022) come with a keyboard?
Two Apple iPad Pros (2022) attached to Magic Keyboards.

Apple has upgraded the iPad Pro to make it easier to get things done on the go. The faster M2 chip makes multitasking a breeze, while the beautiful 12.9-inch screen gives you a lot of room to work and play. If you pair it with a stylus and a keyboard, it can work as a great laptop replacement. But creating this setup may take some extra steps and money, as the iPad Pro (2022) does not come with a keyboard in the box.
Does the Apple iPad Pro (2022) come with a keyboard?
None of the recent iPad models come with a keyboard or a stylus so you have to buy them separately. This has been the case for largely every tablet ever made, with only a few very notable exceptions to the rule. One possible tablet that would have come with a keyboard was the recently discovered prototype plastic iPad. Tablets are still largely seen as multimedia devices, and even though the iPad Pro line has some serious productivity chops, Apple has yet to include them with a keyboard as standard.
Not everyone uses their tablet for extensive typing, but if you're one of those users, you can benefit from investing a couple of hundred dollars into a high-quality keyboard. There are a lot of great options available for Apple's iPad Pro, and we've included some below.
