Based on the report, the Galaxy Tab S’s processor, the Exynos 5420, heats up during heavy usage. While that is a common occurrence for modern-day mobile devices, especially for one that has a screen resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, the Galaxy Tab S back cover becomes distorted as a result. While the deformation is not extensive, the changes are noticeable and could be blamed on the plastic rather than the processor itself.
The additional heat could be blamed on the stress placed on the Galaxy Tab S’ Mali-T628 GPU, though it is currently unknown. Also unknown is how widespread the issue is, though Samsung has reportedly failed to respond to complaints.
