The company has high hopes for the SGH-E700. This unique folder model has a camera mounted on the front and an internal antenna. The external LCD can be used as the viewfinder, allowing picture-taking without having to open the phone.

Moreover, various stored image templates can be used to decorate the snapshots. With the Night Mode, the SGH-E700 can take clear, sharp images in the dark.

The sophisticated design targets high-income buyers in their 20s and 30s. The SGH-E700 is available in indigo blue, metallic silver, deep gray, Beaujolais red, ice white or pearl white.

The SGH-X600, being launched with the SGH-E700, is SAMSUNG’s first bar-type camera phone. A miniature flash is built around the lens, making picture taking easy in dark places or at night.

It boasts a slim design that weighs just 80 grams. It comes in either blue or silver.

Completing Samsung’s new ensemble, the bar-type SGH-X100 sports a diminutive curved design. A thin silver body wraps around the pearl blue front, earning the phone the nickname â€œpearl.â€

Samsung’s new rugged phone and tablet tout 5G and 5 years of updates

Samsung is adding a couple of new rugged devices to its portfolio – the Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro tablet and the Galaxy XCover 6 Pro phone. Both are targeted at enterprise usage and frontline workers braving harsh conditions. The physical buttons on the phone and tablet can be programmed for a variety of tasks such as sending emergency SOS messages or enabling the walkie-talkie function.

Both the gadgets feature a military-grade build and come with a MIL-STD-810H certification that covers everything from water exposure and high temperature to extreme vibrations and high-altitude operations. Notably, these two are also the first 5G-ready rugged devices in Samsung’s portfolio, which is a neat addition. A Wi-Fi 6E upgrade is also part of the package, but there's no satellite connectivity à la the iPhone 14 series.

And alongside those phones, there's also a new way to purchase one of them to encourage you to keep it for longer than usual. That’s right, HMD Global doesn’t want you to keep upgrading your phone, an unusual strategy for any phone maker.
Nokia's plan to 'redefine phone ownership'
The new way to buy and keep your phone is called Circular, and it will “redefine phone ownership,” according to HMD Global. So what’s it all about? On the surface, it’s a simple phone leasing service, where you sign up with the company and pay monthly for your new Nokia phone. It’s a fixed contract for just three months, then you’re free to cancel, continue, or upgrade when you want. But don't do that, because Circular is all about keeping your phone.

What makes it different from the rest is that HMD Global will reward you for keeping your phone, but not through free gifts or a break on your monthly payments. Instead, you earn virtual credits called Seed of Tomorrow (yes, really) to invest in a set of curated environmentally aware causes. The longer you keep your phone, the more seeds you get, and the more causes you can support. Unconnected, Ecologi, and Clear Rivers are the names already onboard.

Samsung’s new ‘Repair Mode’ is like a valet when your phone’s being repaired

Samsung is introducing a new feature for its phones that acts as a security valet when it is handed over to a repair outlet, ensuring that no personal data can be accessed by any unauthorized person. Dubbed Repair Mode, it can be enabled from the Battery and Device Care section in the Settings menu.

Once Repair Mode is enabled, the phone reboots and presents a UI that only allows the default apps to stay functional. All the apps you’ve installed on your phone, which contain valuable information, are locked. In repair mode, the phone also blocks access to photos, messages, and accounts signed up for different services.
