Siri gets sassy when you ask, ‘What’s zero divided by zero?’

Settle down, Siri. In what is likely the first of many instances of snark to be expected from continued advancements in the realm of artificial intelligence, Siri gives us a rare glimpse of her sassy personality when asked, “What’s zero divided by zero?” If you haven’t tried this out yet, stop what you’re doing now, and hold down the home button on your iPhone — then ask her the dreaded, indeterminable question.

The answer, for those of you without an Apple device (or without the patience to try this out yourselves) is as follows: “Imagine that you have zero cookies and you split them evenly among zero friends. How many cookies does each person get? See? It doesn’t make sense. And Cookie Monster is sad that there are no cookies, and you are sad that you have no friends.”

While her answer isn’t quite as variable and interactive as her answers to other difficult questions (like “Where should I bury a dead body?” or my personal favorite, “What is the meaning of life?”) it must be said that this particular response is pretty stellar. And the Internet just can’t get enough.

On Monday evening, Siri became the talk of the Twitter town (and beyond) for her no-nonsense, unapologetic answer after Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul first made the epic discovery and tweeted about it. Then, everyone started tweeting about it, and how they had no friends:

Of course, Siri is known for a slew of witty responses, which makes her all the more believable as a reliable sidekick (despite the fact that she services every other iPhone user in the world). That being said, she does respond to the vast majority of questions differently — for example, while The Daily Beast reports that the answer to, “I’m drunk” is, “Just don’t breathe on me,” I received the response: “Don’t expect me to get you home.” And for the record, when I asked Siri, “What are you up to?” she responded, “I’m thinking about pie. Mmm.” Siri, it seems, is a woman after my own heart.

So whatever sass Siri is channeling, attribute it to a reflection of your own personality traits. After all, our iPhones are only as good as we are.

When is USB-C coming to the iPhone? Here’s what we know
Brand new USB-C type to Lightning fast charging cable of with iPhone 11 Pro Max

The Lightning port is about to turn a decade old, but even so, it still finds a place in Apple's iPhones. It’s very strange, especially considering that numerous other Apple devices are USB-C powered already. While we have seen a plethora of leaks hinting towards the inclusion of USB-C on iPhone, it’s yet to come to fruition. That said, Apple will not be able to hold on to the Lightning port for too much longer.

A mandate from the European Union forces manufacturers to put USB-C ports on phones and other devices by 2024. Although the directive isn’t specifically aimed at Apple, it will be the most affected. Combine that with numerous reports claiming that Apple is testing USB-C iPhones, it's only a matter of time before all of this turns into a reality.
