Using Apple Pay at the grocery store or your local coffee shop might sound cool, but booking a private jet with the mobile payment service sounds even cooler.
Headquartered in New York City, Skyjet is a leading provider of on-demand private jet charters. The company just launched an app for the iPhone that makes booking a luxury private jet easier than ever. It’s the first app of its kind that supports Apple Pay, and it has us excited, even though we can’t afford such luxury.
Skyjet has you covered, whether it’s a short hop, coast-to-coast, or an international flight. Just enter in your desired trip itinerary, and the app will quickly provide you with price estimates based on both market pricing, as well as what other clients paid. You can even see the aircraft specs, and book your flight within four hours of departure.
Once you have figured out where to go, it’s now time to pay for it. That’s where Apple Pay comes in. Assuming you have already added your debit or credit card to Apple Pay, it’s as simple as a touch of a finger to book that private jet to Las Vegas.
Security is always a concern, and you can rest easy knowing that your actual card numbers are not stored on your iPhone or on Apple’s servers. If you’re not a fan of Apple Pay, you can still use a credit card or a wire transfer.
Once your flight is booked, you will have access to all the necessary travel documents. You can even use the Call button to talk to any of Skyjet’s aviation experts for assistance with any other plans like catering and ground transportation.
Skyjet has been chartering private jets since 1997 with an elite safety team of FAA, NTSB, and Air Force veterans. These experts ensure that all jets meet the company’s rigorous safety standards.
Just in case you need another reason to fly in luxury this weekend, Skyjet is giving away an Apple Watch Sport or an iPad Air to the first 50 new clients that book a trip using the app. I’m free this weekend, if you’re paying.
