Sprint Adds Samsung ACE and M520

Sprint Adds Samsung ACE and M520

Sprint expanded its line-up of available handsets Monday morning with the announcement of two new phones from Samsung. The M520 will offer consumers a slim, sliding Web-enabled phone, while the more robust SPH-I325 ACE is a smart phone in the same league as the BlackJack II, which remains an AT&T exclusive.

The M520 should serve as an entry level slider in Sprint’s line, as it’s offered for $49.99 with a two-year contract and $50 rebate. It gives users all the essentials including EV-DO Internet access, Bluetooth, 1.3-megapixel camera, microSD slot for up to 4GB of storage, GPS, and support for a host of Sprint’s own services including streaming music and Power Vision streaming television.

The pricier ACE will serve Sprint’s more upscale smart phone users at a price of $199.99 with a two-year contract and $100 rebate when it’s offered in March. The phone sports a form factor very similar to the BlackJack II, with the screen and controls both laid out on a simple black rectangular slab. It includes a full QWERTY keyboard, 2.3-inch LCD display, 1.3-megapixel camera, Bluetooth, 2GB microSD slot, EV-DO Internet access, and runs Windows Mobile 6.

Samsung Galaxy S21 Plus vs. Galaxy S20 Plus: What did Samsung add to the Plus?
Samsung Galaxy S21+

Samsung's phones for 2021 have arrived, with the standard Galaxy S21 and the super-deluxe S21 Ultra probably attracting most of the attention. However, Samsung also released a phone that sits halfway between these two in terms of price and size, the Galaxy S21 Plus. It keeps the same processor as the S21 (and the S21 Ultra), but adds a bigger screen than the S21 and also a bigger battery. It is, to put it simply, an S21 for people who want extra size.

However, assuming that Samsung fans want a Galaxy S phone with a 6.7-inch screen and a hefty battery, they still have last year's Galaxy S20 Plus to consider. It also offers a beautiful display, a beefy processor, and a powerful camera, while it also comes with a MicroSD card slot for those who need extra storage space.

t mobile one vs simple choice hq sign feat 2x3

Rumors and news about T-Mobile and Sprint merging circulated for years -- but now the two have finally made it happen. After years of legal battles and new conditions, Sprint and T-Mobile have merged into the "New T-Mobile," and Sprint as we know it is no more.

In April 2018, ex-T-Mobile CEO John Legere took to Twitter to officially announce the merger, saying the two companies "have reached an agreement." He posted a video of himself alongside Sprint CEO Marcelo Claure that provided some details on the merger. And the mobile carriers submitted a formal application to the Federal Communications Commission on June 18, 2018, officially beginning the regulatory review process for the $26 billion deal.
