Sprint upgrades its Prepaid service with new data plans

Even though Sprint does have Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile as its prepaid subsidiaries here in the United States, it launched its own Prepaid brand back in March. Thankfully, Sprint decided to revamp it with three new monthly plans.

The cheapest plan, $35 a month, now includes 1GB of data. Meanwhile, the $45 and $55 a month plans include 3GB and 6GB of data, respectively. All these plans include unlimited talk and text. In comparison, when the Sprint Prepaid brand launched in March, it had two plans: a $45 a month plan with unlimited talk and text but no data, and a $60 a month plan with unlimited talk and text, coupled with 2.5GB of 4G LTE data that would be throttled if you surpass the cap.

According to Sprint, the new tiered data plans “include respective 3G/4G high-speed data allotment applicable to monthly plan.” In other words, if you surpass your data allowance, data access ends. In addition, if you plan on watching videos on the go, doing so “may be limited to 3G speeds.” Not a fun prospect, seeing how notoriously horrid Sprint’s 3G speeds are, but at least the plans are affordable.

Samsung quietly launched a new phone, and it’s ridiculously cheap

Companies routinely launch products in other countries that never see a release here in the U.S., but that doesn't mean we don't wish they did. Samsung launched the Galaxy A06 in India after it was first revealed last month in Vietnam, and it's the kind of budget-friendly phone we just don't see that often.

Priced at just $120 or $135, this phone is hugely affordable. Seriously, my current phone bill is more expensive than the Galaxy A06. It runs Android 14, has a 6.7-inch LCD display, and comes in two configurations: 4GB RAM/64GB storage and 4GB RAM/128GB storage. You can opt for light blue, black, and gold color choices.

I tried Google’s new Pixel Studio app, and it’s a mess

Google's Pixel 9 phones are all about AI. If you watched the company's launch event, there was no way of missing it, as that's almost all Google seemed interested in talking about. Some AI here, a sprinkle of AI there, and an extra touch of AI on top, just to be safe.

One of the many AI features on the Pixel 9 is an app called Pixel Studio. It's an image generator app that allows you to create an image of virtually anything you'd like. You open the app, type in what you want a picture of, and voilà -- Pixel Studio makes it for you. It's not the first app of its kind, but it is the first one shipped on a Google Pixel phone. Unfortunately, it's a dumpster fire.
