Microsoft announced that the Surface Pro 3, the successor to last year’s Surface Pro 2, is now available for purchase in the United States and Canada through Microsoft retail stores, Microsoft’s online store, and retail stores.

Being the first wave of Surface Pro 3 tablets, only the Core i5 versions are available for purchase. Getting the Core i5 version with 128GB of storage will run you $1,000, while doubling the storage brings the price up to $1,300.

Meanwhile, the Core i3 and i7 versions won’t be available until August 1. The sole Core i3 version, priced at $800, includes 64GB of storage, while the $1,550 and $1,950 will net you the Core i7 version with 256GB and 512GB of storage, respectively. As for international availability, all versions of the Surface Pro 3 will make its way to 26 additional countries by the end of August.

Regardless of which model you go for, the Surface Pro 3 packs a 12-inch 2160 x 1440 pixel display and includes an Intel HD Graphics 4400 GPU. We’ve compared the Surface Pro 3 to several of its peers, including the Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro, the 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display, and its main competition, the MacBook Air.

iPhone 13 Pro Max vs. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3
iPhone 13 Pro Max back.

If you want an Apple smartphone, the iPhone 13 Pro Max is pretty much where it's at right now. Flaunting newly improved camera lenses, a beautiful 120Hz refresh rate, a more long-lasting battery, the new A15 Bionic chip, and the choice of having a massive 1TB in storage, it gets nearly everything right. However, while it may be the best -- and most deluxe -- Apple smartphone available at the moment, Samsung fans may probably argue that it's not the best phone overall when other manufacturers and operating systems are taken into account.

In particular, one of the best Samsung devices out now is the Galaxy Z Fold 3. As the third-generation Samsung foldable, it almost perfects the concept of a folding phone, incorporating a more durable hinge mechanism and better durability while also offering great performance, a big potential for multitasking, and some very solid cameras.

The Microsoft Surface Duo 2 rests on a staircase railing because: right angles.

Microsoft released a series of new portable powerhouse products at its Surface event, including the next generation of their mobile line, the Microsoft Surface Duo 2. This is the successor to the much-criticized Surface Duo, which received negative reviews and lackluster sales due to issues with subpar hardware and software. With the Duo 2, Microsoft has taken criticism to heart and revamped it with flagship-level hardware and promises of an improved software experience.

The Duo 2 now joins other foldable phones like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3, which is widely considered to be one of the best on the market in terms of performance and features, and the compact, consumer-friendly Galaxy Z Flip 3. The specs between the Duo 2 and Fold 3 are similar in most regards, but there are some key differences, and Samsung has generally had more experience when it comes to folding-phone hardware. There's also a price disparity, with the Galaxy Z Fold 3 costing an extra $300 over the Duo 2. Read on to see our breakdown of how they differ and which one is better.
