T-Mobile Gets New Colored PEBLs

T-Mobile and Motorola today announced three new colors for the popular PEBL phone. These new green, blue and orange choices are available now exclusively at T-Mobile retail stores and through T-Mobile’s Web site.

The new Motorola PEBL color phones, said the two companies, have the same rounded contours, soft-touch texture, sculpted clamshell shape and dual-hinge opening mechanism which has made the original version so popular. Motorola PEBL Colors phones also offer the same feature set as the original, including quad-band technology, Bluetooth wireless and an embedded VGA camera with video record and playback.

“The Motorola PEBL Colors are the latest step in the journey to provide products that allow consumers to express style without sacrificing ease-of-use or design,” said Jim Wicks, vice president and director, Consumer Experience Design, Motorola, in a statement. “Combining simple and powerful design with high functionality, the PEBL Colors offer more than a communication experience — they offer a choice of rich colors and a high-concept design for an ideal lifestyle accessory.”

The Apple iPad 9.7 might not be one of the best iPads any more but it's still worth checking out, especially this cheaply. It featured as one of the best products of 2018 thanks to its strong set of features. It has a 9.7-inch Retina display with wide color and true tone support. Alongside that is an Apple A10 Fusion processor that was also used within the iPhone 7 range. While it's not exactly fast any more, thanks to iPadOS being so well optimized and there being thousands of apps to try out, you won't miss out too much.

Nothing Phone 2 confirmed to get a major upgrade you can’t see

The Nothing Phone 2 will hit store shelves later this year, and as the brand inches closer to the big day for its highly anticipated phone, it has started drip-feeding the hype around it. Most recently, Nothing co-founder and CEO Carl announced on Twitter that the upcoming phone will draw power from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset.

Now, this isn’t the latest mobile silicon in Qualcomm’s arsenal, as phones armed with the newer and faster Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 — like the OnePlus 11 and Galaxy S23 Ultra — are already out there. However, the jump to a Snapdragon 8 series would still be a huge upgrade, as the Nothing Phone 1 made its way to the market rocking the decidedly midrange Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ processor.

Don’t buy the Pixel Tablet; get this cheaper Android tablet instead

The market for Android tablets appears to be sinking, but the likes of the Pixel Tablet may have some role in salvaging it. The Pixel Tablet, launched last week -- exactly a year after it was first unveiled -- marks Google's reentry into the tablet segment after almost a decade.

While this development may help bring more manufacturers onto the scene, Google itself feels shy about making big claims about performance and productivity. Instead, the Pixel Tablet is projected as a mere hybrid upgrade to the Nest Hub and Nest Hub Max.
