T-Mobile’s Cyber Monday deal may be one of the best iPhone 7 promotions yet

Interested in getting the new iPhone 7 but not so hot on the lowest storage option? Enter T-Mobile, which is offering a deal that keeps you from having to shell out the cash for extra storage. The company is running a Cyber Monday promotion that basically lets you upgrade the amount of storage you’ll get for free.

In other words, you can get the 128GB version of the iPhone 7 for the price of the 32GB version, giving you an extra 96GB — perfect on a phone that doesn’t have an SD card slot. You could also go one step further and get the 256GB version of the iPhone 7 for the price of the 128GB. Both offers save you $100.

To get the new iPhone 7 at the low price, you’ll need to head to the T-Mobile website and add either the 128GB or 256GB iPhone 7 to your cart, just like you would any other order. You can also call T-Mobile at 1-877-413-5903 to place the order. That’s really it — no special codes that you need to enter and no special secret button to find on the website.

To get the deal, you will have to act quick — inventory is limited, so you may not be able to get the slick new Jet Black mocel, which is the color that sells out the quickest. It does not seem as though the iPhone 7 Plus is part of the deal.

T-Mobile has been offering a few iPhone 7 deals over the past week, the second of which was a Black Friday offer that allowed customers to get a free iPhone 7 with a trade-in. The Cyber Monday deal isn’t quite the same as getting a free iPhone 7, but it’s still pretty sweet, especially if you generally want more than the 32GB the base iPhone 7 offers.

I was wrong about the iPhone 16
An iPhone 16 laying on a shelf with its screen on.

The iPhone 16 is a little over a month old, and I've been using it almost nonstop since it was announced last month. I reviewed the phone for Digital Trends and bought one with my own money as my personal phone of choice.

Not long after its unveiling, I wrote an op-ed complaining about the iPhone 16's lack of a 120Hz display. I said it was the "one thing holding back the iPhone 16" and that its 60Hz screen was "an unreasonable spec." I'd still like to see the refresh rate addressed with the iPhone 17, but after living with the iPhone 16 for over a month now, I've found that it's not nearly as big of an issue as I believed it would be.
A 60Hz screen matters, until it doesn't
