Conversations With Friends trailer reveals a secret affair

Two years ago, Hulu and BBC Three adapted Sally Rooney’s second novel, Normal People, as a miniseries. Later this year, BBC Three and Hulu are reteaming for a new adaptation of Rooney’s debut novel, Conversations With Friends. Now, the first trailer for the miniseries has arrived, and it reveals the complicated relationships within.

The main characters are Frances and Bobbi, two young women who were previously in a relationship with each other. Despite the end of their romance, Frances and Bobbi are still seemingly joined at the hip. They even perform spoken word poetry together. However, their unity is challenged when they meet another couple, Melissa and Nick. And while the couples are fast friends, it isn’t long until Frances and Nick develop an undeniable attraction to each other.

The trailer, we see the first moments of Frances and Nick’s extramarital affair. Subsequently, Frances openly questions whether the affair makes them bad people. The other half of each couple aren’t entirely blameless. Melissa and Bobbi are openly flirting in front of Nick and Frances. The key difference is that Frances and Bobbi aren’t together anymore. Regardless, both Bobbi and Melissa will likely see the affair as a betrayal.

Alison Oliver stars in the 12-episode miniseries as Frances, with Sasha Lane as Bobbi Connolly, Joe Alwyn as Nick Conway, and Jemima Kirke as Melissa Conway.

Lenny Abrahamson (Room) and Leanne Welham directed the miniseries from scripts by Alice Birch, Mark O’Halloran, Meadhbh McHugh, and Susan Soon He Stanton. Conversations With Friends will premiere on Hulu and BBC Three in May.

In the early 1960s, a serial killer murdered over a dozen women in Boston, with the media dubbing him the "Boston Strangler." Now, the untold true story of how two reporters broke the story is highlighted in the first trailer for the true crime thriller Boston Strangler.

Keira Knightley (The Imitation Game) stars as Loretta McLaughlin, a reporter for the Record-American newspaper who makes the first connection to the Boston Strangler murders. When McLaughlin shares her discovery with her boss (Adaptation's Chris Cooper), her revelation is immediately shot down. To continue her investigation, McLaughlin discloses this information to colleague Jean Cole (The Leftovers' Carrie Coon), who joins her in the pursuit of the truth. Despite facing sexism in the industry, McLaughlin and Cole put their own lives at risk to find and stop the murderer.

Tetris trailer reveals how the puzzle game became a worldwide hit

Apple TV+, AI Film, and Marv Studios have released the first official trailer for Tetris ahead of the film's March 31 release on Apple's streaming service. It follows the adventures of Henk Rogers as he attempts to secure distribution rights to Tetris, an excellent puzzle game that became one of the most popular games ever. 
The trailer follows Rogers as he discovers the game and tries to obtain the rights to Tetris, which was developed in the waning years of the USSR. We see Henk, one of the first people outside of Nintendo to see the GameBoy, describing the mental "Tetris effect" he gets from playing it, and outsmarting the Soviet Union so Tetris can be a pack-in title for the handheld system.

Anyone who knows the complicated story behind Tetris' worldwide success will recognize many of the trailer's best moments, while those who don't know the backstory will learn a lot and appreciate the 1980s aesthetic of it all.

Tetris is directed by Jon S. Baird and written by Noah Pink. It stars Taron Egerton as Henk Rogers, Nikita Yefremov as Tetris creator Alexey Pajitnov, along with Toby Jones, Roger Allam, Anthony Boyle, Togo Igawa, Ken Yamamura, Ben Miles, Matthew Marsh, and Rick Yune. While video game adaptations are becoming more common, it'll be exciting to see what this creative talent can bring to a game-related biopic. 
Tetris will hit Apple TV+ on March 31. And if you want to play the version of the game this film's plot is centered around, the Game Boy version of Tetris is included with a Nintendo Switch Online subscription.

In the horror comedy series, Jamie Walsh (Ladhood's Oscar Kennedy) is a 19-year-old who takes a job aboard The MS Sacramentum cruise ship to investigate the disappearance of his sister. Jamie's sister was working on the ship during its last charter, but went missing midway through the trip. Jamie slowly gets initiated into cruise life and the different groups that exist below deck. As Jamie learns more secrets aboard the ship, murders begin to take place at the hands of a murderer in a killer duck mask. Wreck combines British comedy with slasher horror for a six-episode season.
