Is Netflix planning to bring back Full House?

Full House on Netflix
Brace yourselves, Full House fans. The Tanner clan might be headed back to television.

Netflix is reportedly close to finalizing a deal to revive the popular sitcom about a father of three young girls who recruits his best friend and brother-in-law to help raise his children after his wife dies in a tragic car accident. According to TVLine, the series — which has been dubbed Fuller House — will take the form of a 13-episode series that will feature Candace Cameron Bure reprising her role as D.J. Tanner and Andrea Barber returning as D.J.’s best friend, Kimmy Gibbler.

In addition to the eldest Tanner daughter and her pal in starring roles, the series is expected to bring back original Full House stars John Stamos, Bob Saget, and Dave Coulier as occasional guests.

Full House creator Jeff Franklin will reportedly serve as executive producer on the revival of the series, with Stamos attached as a producer.

After premiering in 1987, Full House went on to run for eight seasons on ABC before concluding in 1995. Along with the aforementioned cast, the series also starred Jodie Sweetin as middle-sister Stephanie and twins Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen sharing the role of the youngest member of the Tanner clan, Michelle.

Small-scale reunions of the series’ three father figures have occurred a few times in recent years, with the trio appearing in a commercial for Dannon Yogurt that aired during the Super Bowl, as well as reuniting on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon last year.

The revival of Full House has yet to be confirmed by Netflix or anyone reportedly involved with the project, so the news should probably be considered a rumor at this point — or possibly wishful thinking if you’re one of the many people who grew up watching the weekly adventures of the Tanners.

Ukraine president’s Servant of the People is back on Netflix
Volodymyr Zelensky in Servant of the People.

The eyes of the world are currently on Ukraine as the Russian invasion of that country continues. Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has emerged as a respected  international figure for refusing to back down to Russian aggression even though his country is severely outgunned by the Russian army. But Zelenskyy wasn't always a politician. In his previous career as a comedian and an entertainer, Zelenskyy once played a fictional teacher who became the President of Ukraine in the sitcom Servant of the People. Now, that series is back on Netflix.

According to Deadline, Netflix made the announcement on Twitter. Servant of the People originally debuted in 2015 and it ran for three seasons for a total of 51 episodes. Netflix previously streamed the series from 2017 to 2021.

Netflix to shoot pair of Red Notice sequels back-to-back
Ryan Reynolds, Dwayne Johnson, and Gal Gadot in Red Notice.

Last year, Netflix made a big splash when it picked up Red Notice from Universal Pictures, and the film went on to become one of the most popular movies on the streaming platform. That was largely due to the incredible star power of Dwayne Johnson, Gal Gadot, and Ryan Reynolds in the leading roles. Now, Deadline is reporting that Johnson, Gadot, and Reynolds are all expected to return for Red Notice 2 and Red Notice 3. Additionally, Netflix has ambitious plans to shoot both sequels back-to-back.

While the plan is to begin filming next year, that isn't yet set in stone. Johnson, Gadot, and Reynolds have extremely busy schedules, and it will be a challenge to line all three of them up again. That's one of the reasons why the sequels are also reportedly expanding the cast beyond the core trio. Deadline's report compares Red Notice's expanded roster of characters to the Ocean's Eleven films, which featured an all-star cast. Director and screenwriter Rawson Marshall Thurber is also slated to return, and he has reportedly also begun writing the sequels.

Cobra Kai season 4 trailer brings old rivals back together
Johnny Lawrence and Daniel LaRusso face off in an image from Cobra Kai season 4.

Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence have been rivals ever since they first encountered each other in The Karate Kid. Regardless, Netflix's new trailer for the fourth season of Cobra Kai shows us something we've never seen before: Johnny and Daniel as partners. They have a common enemy now, but that doesn't mean that they're suddenly going to be friends.

Within the Cobra Kai season 4 trailer, there's still quite a bit of tension between Johnny and Daniel, especially when it comes to Miguel. And it seems that Johnny has mixed feelings about a seemingly unequal partnership with Daniel. It was Johnny who restarted the Cobra Kai dojo to reclaim his self-worth, but now he finds himself and a few of his students aligned with Danny's Miyagi-Do. Perhaps the combined efforts of Daniel and Johnny can prepare their students for their biggest challenge ahead in the All Valley Karate tournament.
