The popular character was believed to be killed when he was repeatedly stabbed at the end of season five — but HBO’s won’t stop teasing, and it has turned the Internet to asking its digital assistants to find out the truth.
Scandal and Django Unchained actress Kerry Washington tweeted a screenshot of her iPhone, after she asked Siri if Snow was alive. Siri responded with, “I don’t know. I just hope someone is setting up doggie daycare for Ghost.” (Ghost, for the uninitiated, is Jon Snow’s direwolf.)

While Siri can’t appease our curious minds with actual answers, she does have a number of fun quotes from the show to respond with about the controversial matter.

We asked Apple’s digital assistant again and she responded with “‘Dead is dead.’ Or is it ‘What’s dead may never die?’ No, wait, ‘Death is so terribly final?’ I give up.” Siri will also say, “Well, you know what they say to Death… Not today! But why would tomorrow be any better? Anyway, I’m not exactly sure.”
And finally, if you try it yourself, you might also get, “I’m not sure. Has he tried restarting? That always seems to work.”
We tested the same question with other digital assistants: Google Now, Cortana, and SoundHound’s new Hound app, but sadly they don’t know the answer either. Unfortunately, they also don’t offer interesting responses like Siri.
We’ll find out Snow’s verdict soon enough though, as Game of Thrones season six airs on Sunday, April 24.
