Pablo Larraín/Why Not Productions
We finally have a glimpse of Natalie Portman’s turn as  former First Lady Jackie Onassis Kennedy — and it’s as strong, stylish, and iconic as expected. The Oscar-winning actress’ upcoming role in the much-anticipated Jackie Kennedy biopic, Jackie, was first announced in May, and now there’s visual proof, courtesy of Getty Images and director Pablo Larrain.

The biopic centers on the emotional four days between the assassination of the beloved President John F. Kennedy and his burial, as reported by Deadline. President JFK was assassinated in Dallas on November 22, 1963 with Jackie at his side, and was buried in a state funeral at Arlington National Ceremony on November 25, 1963.

The film also stars Greta Gerwig as Jackie Kennedy’s aid, Peter Sarsgaard as President Kennedy’s brother Robert, Max Casella as Jack Valenti, and Beth Grant as Ladybird Johnson. John Hurt, who previously worked with Portman on V for Vendetta, will also appear in the film.

Larrain is directing Jackie based on a 2010 Black List-selected screenplay from Noah Oppenheim. Darren Aronofsky is producing with his Protozoa Pictures partners Scott Franklin and Ari Handel, Fabula Films’ Juan de Dios Larrain, and LD Entertainment’s Mickey Liddell. LD and Bliss Media will co-finance the film with Protozoa Pictures.

“Pablo is a masterful filmmaker, the cast is top notch, and we are thrilled to be working with him and our producing partners,” said Liddell in a statement. Larrain previously received an Oscar nomination for his 2012 Chilean drama film NoJackie will be his first feature film in English, according to Deadline.

Other upcoming films for Portman include Terrence Mallick’s Knight of CupsJane Got a Gun, and On the Basis of Sex in which she’ll play Ruth Bader Ginsberg.

Jackie, which is currently filming in Paris, doesn’t yet have a release date but IMDB notes it will come in 2017.

Netflix's deals with Sony Pictures Animation, DreamWorks Animation, and Universal Pictures have given it a powerhouse library of animated films. And that's before we even get into Netflix's impressive originals like The Sea Beast. To help you keep track of what's new and what you can stream right now, we've updated our list of the best animated movies on Netflix.

10 best Batman stories ever, ranked
Batman Year One cover

Bounding from rooftop to rooftop, the Dark Knight never misses his mark. He operates like a well-oiled machine tracking bad guys, beating them to a bloody pulp, and throwing them in the slammer - or Arkham Asylum should they be anyone of Gotham's notable supervillains. As the brainchild of Bob Kane and Bill Finger, an artist and writer duo, Batman has been pounding the pavement of Gotham ever since his debut in Detective Comics in 1939. He's undergone a number of changes since his original conception ultimately becoming the brooding powerhouse we know today.

Most understand the basic tenants of Batman these days. His parents were murdered before his young eyes leading him down this path of personal vindication and pursuit of justice. Batman, in most iterations, never resorts to killing -- the one crime that separates his outlaw vigilante operations from the real criminals. Of course, it wasn't always that way. In Batman's earliest days, he had no qualms about ending the lives of baddies on the streets. Even now, some stories and films like Tim Burton's gothic take on the character depict him looking on with cold and uncaring glares as criminals meet their end. Regardless, Batman is mostly a well-established hero simply seeking justice and there are countless stories of the Caped Crusader. Let's take a look at the best among them.
