Tales of the Walking Dead trailer shows new zombie adventures

The Walking Dead franchise is adding more zombie adventures to its universe with the addition of Tales of the Walking Dead, the new spinoff series set to premiere on AMC and AMC+. Scott M. Gimple, a co-creator of Tales, shared the first trailer from the spinoff in front of the lively crowd at the 2022 San Diego Comic-Con. Also on hand for the announcement were showrunner/executive producer Channing Powell, director/executive producer Michael Satrazemis, and some cast members, including Terry Crews and Samantha Morton.

Tales of the Walking Dead will be a six-episode anthology series that features a standalone story in each episode. New and established characters in The Walking Dead universe will be featured throughout each episode. The tagline reads, “Six New Stories. One Dead World.” The footage highlights all six stories in different settings as the characters all try to survive the zombie apocalypse.

Lord of the Rings series drops stunning trailer at Comic-Con
Galadriel putting a helmet on top of a pile in a scene from Lord of the Rings The Rings of Power.

Ever since Amazon bought the television rights to The Lord of the Rings in 2017, the upcoming series The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power has been the equivalent of a sleeping giant. The massive show is coming soon, but many details around the plot and footage have been scarce, to say the least. That was the case until now, as Prime Video just released a stunning trailer at the 2022 San Diego Comic-Con.

The three-minute trailer is the longest look at the series to date as Amazon had only released teaser trailers up until this point. The footage includes jaw-dropping visuals of Middle-earth to go along with familiar creatures from the film series such as elves, orcs, and dwarves. Based on the works of  J. R. R. Tolkien, The Rings of Power is set thousands of years before the events in The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. The series covers significant events in Middle-earth during the Second Age, which includes the rise of the Dark Lord Sauron and the forging of the Rings of Power.

A new threat has emerged in Beacon Hills, forcing Scott McCall into action in the teaser trailer for Teen Wolf: The Movie. The footage debuted during a panel for the film in Hall H at the 2022 San Diego Comic-Con. The panel featured series creator Jeff Davis, who also wrote the movie, along with stars Tyler Posey, who played McCall, and Tyler Hoechlin, who played Derek Hale.

The footage highlights a return to Beacon Hills to face evil once again. According to the film's logline, "The wolves are howling once again, calling for the return of Banshees, Werecoyotes, Hellhounds, Kitsunes, and every other shapeshifter in the night. But only a Werewolf like Scott McCall (Tyler Posey), no longer a teenager yet still an Alpha, can gather both new allies and reunite trusted friends to fight back against what could be the most powerful and deadliest enemy they’ve ever faced."
