This is what Game of Thrones’ Westeros would look like in Google Maps

If you’ve ever wanted a tangible way to visualize the lengthy journey King Robert Baratheon took from King’s Landing to Winterfell, get your wallet ready. An Etsy shop called MongoLife is selling a tangible map of Game of Thrones world Westeros in the styling of Google Maps.

“If the world of Westeros was on Google Maps” is the way the poster is described on its Etsy page. The high-resolution map is printed on thick, matte, archival, acid-free paper, and marks towns, castles, strongholds, mountains, forests, and roads. It’s being sold for $21 and ships worldwide from the U.S. Framed options are $50-60 on top, and MongoLife takes custom orders.

Unsurprisingly, the Etsy page for the alluring map of Westeros says orders may take a few extra days to ship due to high demand.

House of the Dragon cemented itself as one of the best shows currently streaming on HBO Max and aired on HBO with an explosive finale that finally began the Dance of the Dragons. After 10 episodes of development spanning 20+ years and multiple storylines, the show finally delivered on its promise of fire and blood and officially kickstarted the Dance following Lucerys Velaryon's death at the hands of his uncle, Aemond Targaryen. In a major departure from Fire & Blood, Lucerys' death was accidental, adding an additional dire element to an already tragic story.

With season 1 such a resounding success, hopes for season 2 are higher than ever. Before its premiere this fall, there was much arguing about whether House of the Dragon could restore Game of Thrones' tarnished legacy, and the show lived up to the task, delivering a compelling and thrilling season with stellar performances and incredible writing. Not every choice made by the showrunners was a hit with critics and audiences, but season 1 of House of the Dragon was an objective success. It drove the conversation every Sunday night, becoming the closest thing to appointment television we've had since Game of Thrones ended in 2019.

Thanks to Studio Trigger's exemplary Cyberpunk: Edgerunners series on Netflix, both Cyberpunk and CD Projekt Red itself have regained favor with their scorned fan base. After multiple patches that have improved the game and a more forgiving audience, people seem ready to move beyond 2077's catastrophic launch. If nothing else, the audience appears receptive to the anime as well as new Cyberpunk games.So, perhaps it's time to expand the universe to the silver screen.

After all, Cyberpunk has always existed as a transmedia entity. The video game is based on Mike Pondsmith's tabletop RPG of the same name, and CD Projekt Red has quickly ballooned the franchise's footprint with a deluge of modern comics, books, toys, and now Edgerunners itself. A film is the natural extension of Cyberpunk's multifaceted world, particularly considering its filmic influences.
