Apple Pay is making its way to The Cosmopolitan hotel and casino in Las Vegas, but users won’t be able to use Apple’s payments system to buy chips for gambling just yet.

Starting in early June, Apple Pay will be accepted at the hotel’s front desk, restaurants, and bars, according to 9to5Mac. Room service will also be eligible for Apple Pay payments via a patron’s iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch.

“As always, we are thrilled to lead the market with a new component to a Las Vegas experience that makes everything a bit faster and a great deal easier,” Lisa Marchese, chief marketing officer of the property, said in a statement.

The announcement from The Cosmopolitan didn’t mention gambling, though the Los Angeles Times notes that the casino’s tables and slot machines aren’t equipped with Apple Pay technology yet.

In March, a report from PYMNTS.com and InfoScout revealed that only 6 percent of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus owners used Apple Pay, and 85 percent of them have never even touched Apple Pay. Earlier that month, Apple announced that Apple Pay worked at 700,000 locations.

Apple recently added 10 new merchants to its growing list of Apple Pay-friendly stores. Best Buy, T-Mobile, Marriott, Albertsons, and Anthropologie are among the merchants listed as “coming soon” to the Apple Pay fold.

The RaaS, referred to as SophosEncrypt, can take hold of your files -- or even your whole PC -- and requires payment to have them decrypted.

Nvidia’s peace offering isn’t working
Two MSI RTX 4060 Ti 16GB GPUs over a black background.

Nvidia's RTX 4060 Ti 16GB is here, but you wouldn't know it if you didn't follow GPU news closely. It seems that the GPU might just be so far behind some of the best graphics cards that Nvidia isn't advertising it too much. As a result, early benchmarks are scarce.

MSI has released some benchmarks of its own, comparing the 8GB and the 16GB versions of the RTX 4060 Ti. It turns out that the new GPU might actually be slower. Is this why Nvidia didn't even make its own version of this card?
