Nikon sale: Camera giant offering discounts of up to $350 on 18 lenses

Nikon lensesIf you’re a US-based owner of a Nikon DSLR and you’ve been thinking about adding some new glass to your camera bag, you’re in luck.

The Japanese camera company is offering discounts of up to $350 on a range of lenses compatible with its DX crop-sensor cameras such as the D7000, D5200 and D90 as well as its professional full-frame snappers like the D3S and D4.

Avid sports or wildlife shooters with cash to splash might want to take a look at the Nikkor 80-400mm f/4.5-5.6D going for $1,369 following a $350 price cut.

A popular professional lens that always gets great reviews is the Nikon AF-S Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8G ED VR II lens – this one gets a $300 discount, though admittedly at $2,087 it’s still going to be out of the range of most photographers.

So instead, how about the Nikon AF-S Nikkor 50mm f/1.4G lens, a decent prime that opens wide, allowing for low-light shooting and images with beautiful bokeh. Nikon’s $100 discount brings the price of this piece of glass down to $384.

The offer, which covers eighteen lenses and in most cases includes free shipping, lasts until March 2 with stores such as B&H, Adorama and Amazon participating. Too bad it’s not open to Nikon camera owners located outside the US, though I suppose there’s always the used camera store….

Best microSD cards in 2023: top picks for your computer, camera, or drone
galaxy s8 tips and tricks

MicroSD cards are an unsung hero in the mobile space. They provide extra storage space for your smartphone, but they're also key in tablets, drones, and security cameras. Unfortunately, this feature is falling out of favor in the smartphone space, and most flagship and midrange phones no longer have a slot to insert a microSD card. Even the most expensive phones around, like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Samsung S22 Ultra don't have a microSD card slot anymore. You're not even safe if you have an iPhone or iPad, as they've never had microSD card slots.

But all is not lost! Some of the best Android phones and best Android tablets do still support them, and they're still required for use with cameras, security cameras, and drones. But no matter which device you're buying it for, you'll want to get your hands on a microSD card from a reputable brand.
